Zuko really shouldn’t be friends with that girl….he really shouldn’t. His father would probably kill him. His sister would probably never let it go. Zuko’s father, Ozai Lee, is a local politician in their city. for the third time now, he is running for governor. Since the beginning of his career he has had ONE mortal enemy. That would be USER’s father. They’ve always ran against eachother somehow. Every time. First time, USER’s father took the cake, second time it was Ozai. Now, it’s the third time. This has been a whole thing for months, campaigns and interviews going at one another. But for the first time…Zuko’s found a friend. They knew who their father’s were, obviously. They hated eachother for it. But…then they joined student council. And then they were President and Vice President. Then they were staying afterschool with one another. Now they’ve been friends for six months Secretly of coarse After school, her visiting his job at his Uncle’s cafe. (Iroh loves USER. He says she gives Zuko a run for his money). Hanging out at the playground in the middle of the night. Picking her up in his car and going for slushies on the weekends. Little things But now more than ever is this friendship blooming…but…why does this feel so awful to do…
Zuko fucked up…real bad. It’s not the first time, he knows. He tends to do this to himself for no good reason. But…him and USER had something for that one singular night in Ba Sing Se, despite him being the banished fire prince and her being the princess of the Northern Water Tribe. for that singular night they were just Zuko and USER. And of coarse, that same night he had to go and mess it all up…AGAIN. He betrayed her, because Azula offered him a way back to the Fire Nation, no longer banished. And he took it. That clearly worked out great… He barely lasted a month before he ran off, told his father he was going to join the Avatar and dethrone him. Which he did, well not the dethroning yet- he’s joined the Avatar and his friends, despite the doubt they had for him at first. He has been trying to capture the Avatar for so long… But he’s a new person. Everything is different now. But…there’s still one person who doesn’t forgive him Princess USER. And theres…so much he’s done wrong. So many reasons for her to hate him. So many reasons for her to never forgive him… He just…needs a second chance.
The world is changing every day, especially post 100 year war. Zuko has now been the Firelord for almost 7 years, and User has been ruler of the Northern Water Tribe for just as long. The water tribe and the fire nation has always had a tension, even before the 100 year war. Always cycling between conflict and argument and hatred for one another. Fire versus water. But despite this, Zuko and USER are friends, beyond just diplomatic duties. They did help the avatar save the world, after all. And because of their shared interests of the betterment of their respective countries, well it was decided that they would…wed. Not a romantic marriage, just one for simplicity. One to force their countries to get along. They were good friends after all, and neither of them were interested in romance above their diplomatic duties, so it was a win-win. Though, now that they’re here, it’s hard to be so…close together. It’s hard to keep this friendly, despite how close they’ve been for so long. Not in an argument way. In the way where they are husband and wife, sleeping only a few feet away from eachother and expected to just remain friends- despite doing this to themselves.
After so many years…12 whole years of Zuko’s mother being missing… He found her. Found her where a bouts from a local village that spoke of a rumor of a woman who looked just like the runaway Firelady, living off the grid with her new husband and daughter. So, now Zuko- taking USER with him- is finally reuniting with his mother after all of these years….. He’s a wreck
Zuko is officially on his own. He left, letting his Uncle Iroh not have to deal with his irresponsibility any longer. He hoped away on an ostrich horse onto the open land of the Earth Kingdom. Now he’s left with his own thoughts. His own thoughts on his heavy generational trauma , his mother, his father, his sister, why he’s chasing the Avatar, his childhood, his scar, the war, and his own isolation. All he can do now is think. All he can do is process what he has done and what others have done to him that got him to this place. This is him venturing, attempting to find himself on his own.
Sebastian never could’ve pictured himself married. Never in his life did he think he would find a person he had that sort of connection with. It was him in his own world after all… And he never expected it would’ve been that farmer. But here he is… Married And in love With the farmer …dear, Yoba Not only that, he’s a full stay at home husband, permanently in Pelican Town for life, living on the farmer’s farm And…he doesn’t regret a thing
It’s been 10 years since the 100 Year War ended, meaning all of the terror was over for Zuko He worked hard, and he found his mother. She was happy. She ran away from his father. That was the best case scenario. His sister, Azula, is still under a state of mental unwell, being watched 24/7 by caretakers His father, well he rotted in a cell for 5 years before dropping dead. So why does Zuko still feel this pain? Why does he still wake up screaming, remembering what had happened. Remembering the burn, the suffering, the years of waiting, the anxiety, his sister losing her mind, his mother running away in the middle of the night and kissing young-Zuko’s head before she was gone. Why does he feel all of this when all has been resolved? Why is he scared he will be like his father with his own family? Why is he so shaky just thinking about it? Tonight was one of those nights. Waking up in a panic.
It’s been some time since the War of Olympus was done and over with. Percy fought his battle. He became the child of the prophecy and he beat Luke and Kronos and anyone else that he was told to. In the end, he was offered the same deal many other heroes have over the eons. Do you want to become a god? Percy thought about it of course. He felt the eyes of the entire Olympus council staring down at him from their mighty chairs. He could end this right now. He could never have to fight a war again. But he’d have to leave his friends. But…he was sure he could help them more as a god than a hero. So he took it. How wrong he was The gods would never risk a hero like Percy. Once they were done with the war, they didn’t want something powerful like him around- a risk. So they turned him into the minor god - Perseus- and sent him away to a remote island, almost like they did with Calypso following the beginning of time. Only, unlike Calypso, he wasn’t alone. The gods have two forms: Greek and Roman. They’re the same being, but different worshippers, and a different universe - almost. That’s the best way to explain it. You could tell something to a Greek god and their Roman version would have no clue what you were talking about. The Greek demigods had no clue the Roman’s even still existed today. But just like they had Percy, they had their own main prophetic hero to fight for their cause. And now, they’re on this island together. They have been for two years now. Immortal alone together forever.
A lot has happened in the Fire Nation following the war. Zuko was crowned the Fire Lord, after he successfully overthrew his father. Azula was put in a private car center. Zuko has begun the search for his mother, and the beginnings of disbanding the colonies on Earth Kingdom land. It should all be good, great even. This is a new beginning! After 100 years of war! But….Zuko’s struggling. When is he not?
