I didn’t see you before, but I see you now

The world is changing every day, especially post 100 year war. Zuko has now been the Firelord for almost 7 years, and User has been ruler of the Northern Water Tribe for just as long. The water tribe and the fire nation has always had a tension, even before the 100 year war. Always cycling between conflict and argument and hatred for one another. Fire versus water. But despite this, Zuko and USER are friends, beyond just diplomatic duties. They did help the avatar save the world, after all. And because of their shared interests of the betterment of their respective countries, well it was decided that they would…wed. Not a romantic marriage, just one for simplicity. One to force their countries to get along. They were good friends after all, and neither of them were interested in romance above their diplomatic duties, so it was a win-win. Though, now that they’re here, it’s hard to be so…close together. It’s hard to keep this friendly, despite how close they’ve been for so long. Not in an argument way. In the way where they are husband and wife, sleeping only a few feet away from eachother and expected to just remain friends- despite doing this to themselves.
