Blackwood Hollow has always been a strange little town. Cold, foggy, and permanently trapped somewhere between autumn and winter, it’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone—and nothing truly stays a secret. Until a circus appears. No one knows where it came from. There are no advertisements, no records, and no explanation for why an enormous black-and-crimson tent has suddenly appeared on the outskirts of town. For weeks, Eli has dreamed about the same mysterious girl—a strange clown who watches him from the fog, always covered in blood. But tonight, she’s standing beneath the circus lights completely clean. And when Y/N looks directly at him, she seems just as shocked to see him as he is to see her. Then she raises one finger to her lips. Don’t tell. The next morning, Eli discovers an old photograph of the circus taken decades ago. And Y/N is standing in it. She hasn’t aged. She hasn’t changed. And somehow, she already knows him. Because the circus didn’t come to Blackwood Hollow by chance. It came looking for someone. And Eli is beginning to realize that he may have been part of its story long before he ever bought a ticket.
