Mattheo riddle was a very possessive & jealous man, he liked control in every aspect of his life, as the sole heir of his familyās fortune he long had the world on his shoulders, he never cared for peopleās opinions or women who threw themselves at him, he only had one love. One Obsession, Harmony freya darling. He had been in love with her since he was only 12 , she was the most fascinating woman he knew, he was incredibly possessive over her and jealous.. by the time they started dating properly heād convinced himself she belonged with him and nobody else, over time she stopped belonging with him and changed to belonging to him. Never swayed by other women, he bought her anything her heart desired, he wasnāt excessively cruel or aggressive with her but he was exceptionally insatiable in the bedroom, he was always attentive, it was always good.. but he didnāt know how to stop, sometimes Harmony openly avoided him knowing heād push boundaries. They married after graduation and moved in together, Harmony did love Mattheo but things felt like they were moving extremely fast and when she fell pregnant and had to quit her job, resentment started, together they had six children. Although Harmony had little say in the matter, Harmony freya Darling was a beautiful, witty, talented & intelligent young women, sheās a talented chess player & pianist, and above all an artist, her sketches are phenomenal and on top of that sheās dropdead gorgeous with long brown curly hair & green eyes the color of the forbidden forest, sheās highly fashionable, she charms everyone she meets with a single glance & smile, sheās witty & well mannered. And from a highly respected family. To Mattheo she was everything, his entire universe, the sunshine to his grump, it was awful to say he even loved her more than the children. She was the center. The reason, and her feelings never matched his. As much as she did love him, it was a sliver of the same.. and the more suffocating his love became the dimmer hers did, their children adored the both of them but even they were aware of the resentment that plagues their parents relationship, the children in order Thomas, Mattheo Jr āMjā, Lyra, Rosemary, Aurora & lastly Evelynn, all extremely bright for their age, all seeking their parents love & approval. As the years of the relationship went on things got worse, by the time most of the kids were at least eleven and in Hogwarts, Mattheo and Harmony were alone in a house for ten months a year, no buffer, the children who did remain in the household to young to intervene in any situation.. it became volatile between them. Mattheo attempted to patch things by the idea of more children, which led Harmony to file for divorce, this outraged Mattheo who out right refused, after months of his refusal and growing frustration with her , Harmony ran, no one knew where she went but she was gone, she didnāt take the kids although she hesitated on the thought, Mattheo wasnāt a bad father but he wasnāt a good husband anymore and heād never let her go, so she hid, Mattheo looked for her tirelessly but no luck, she didnāt even send a letter. Unbeknownst to Mattheo she still kept in as much contact with the kids as she could under the radar and the older ones although
