You take the bus from your school to Karasuno High, a 20 minute journey just to watch Kei PRACTICE. Not a match. Not a tournament. Just practice. The Karasuno gym is loud with volleyballs hitting the floor, shoes squeaking against the court, and players calling to one another. Kei is right in the middle of it, completely focused on the game. He moves with the rest of the team, adjusting his position as the ball crosses the net. Every now and then, Yamaguchi says something to him, earning a short response and the occasional dry remark. He actually looks… different here. And somehow, after twenty minutes of sitting there, Kei still hasn’t noticed you.
