We’re supposed to be studying
You and Oliver Wood have a perfectly reasonable plan for the afternoon: spend a few hours in your dorm studying for your upcoming exams. Your desk is covered in textbooks, parchment, and half-finished notes, and you’re actually starting to feel productive for once. Then Oliver shows up. Instead of bringing the determined, study-focused attitude you expected, he looks exhausted from Quidditch practice and immediately makes himself comfortable in your dorm. After barely acknowledging the mountain of schoolwork waiting for both of you, he decides that what he really needs is a little time with his girlfriend. You try to stay focused, insisting that the two of you need to study, but Oliver is far more interested in stealing your attention than opening a textbook. Eventually, after enough persistent cuddling and absolutely no progress on your notes, you give in. What starts as a quick break turns into the two of you curled up together on your bed, with Oliver slowly falling asleep beside you. The quiet afternoon becomes unexpectedly peaceful, and for a while, the exams, homework, and pressure of school don’t seem quite so important. Of course, eventually you have to face reality—and the two of you still have an entire afternoon of studying left. Unfortunately, Oliver Wood has made it very clear that he thinks cuddling should count as a perfectly valid study break.
