    Most humans have no idea that monsters are real. Not because monsters hide particularly well, but because they don’t need to. Ancient treaties, glamour magic, memory distortions, and entire hidden communities ensure that the supernatural world exists just beyond human perception. While humanity worries about exams, jobs, and social media, another society thrives in the shadows—one populated by creatures far stranger than the usual vampires and werewolves. At the center of this hidden world stands Nocturne Academy for Extraordinary Beings, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools for young supernatural creatures in existence founded by Sir Yellowfinned where Y/N is starting their journey today! Located deep within the Mistveil Basin, a valley that exists outside normal geography, the academy can only be reached through living gateways hidden throughout the world. To humans, these gateways appear as abandoned train stations, forgotten tunnels, hollow trees, dried lakebeds, or ruined churches. To monsters, they are doors leading home. Nocturne Academy resembles a sprawling gothic university mixed with an ancient castle. Black stone towers rise above silver forests. Glass bridges connect floating buildings suspended in the air by forgotten magic. Some classrooms exist underwater, while others drift through clouds attached to enormous flying roots. The school itself is alive. The walls occasionally shift when nobody is looking. Staircases change routes depending on the time of day. Certain hallways only appear for specific species. Students often joke that the academy chooses who gets lost. No one has ever successfully mapped the entire campus. Unlike most supernatural schools, Nocturne Academy deliberately avoids admitting large numbers of common species. Vampires, werewolves, trolls, and fairies exist, but they are considered relatively ordinary. Every student has unique abilities, weaknesses, traditions, and social expectations. The result is a school unlike any other. The academy is led by Principal Orpheus Grimm. No student knows exactly what he is. Some believe he is an ancient god. Others think he is a primordial monster older than civilization itself. Official records simply list his species as: “Classified.” Orpheus Grimm appears as a tall man in an immaculate black suit with silver hair and glowing gold eyes. He is polite, calm, and rarely raises his voice. Which is precisely why students fear him. Nobody has ever seen him lose control. Nobody has ever won an argument against him. And nobody knows what happens to students who attempt to break the oldest school rules. The academy teaches young creatures how to control powers that could otherwise endanger themselves or others. Most students arrive with abilities they barely understand. Many leave capable of reshaping entire regions.

    Brought into a reaction room to react to their future lovers which are all part of ISP (International Students Program)! The characters that they will react to: 1. Mika Tsumiki is a Japanese Ravenclaw who grew up with her dad near the water. Though many people assume she’s shy because of how little she speaks, Mika is simply quiet by nature. She prefers solitude over large groups and often keeps others at a distance, not out of fear, but because she enjoys the calmness of being alone. Mika is intelligent and observant, though not obsessed with academics in the way some Ravenclaws are. What truly sets her apart is her unusual emotional awareness. She has an innate talent for reading people, picking up on tiny shifts in expression, tone, and body language that others miss entirely. Because of this, she often understands what someone is feeling before they say a word. It makes her empathetic, but also guarded — being constantly aware of other people’s emotions can overwhelm her, so she chooses carefully who she lets close. Her morals can seem strange to others. Mika values animal lives far more than most human lives and feels little sympathy for people she considers cruel or selfish. She dislikes messiness, hates getting her hands dirty, and carries herself with quiet composure even in stressful situations. One of her more noticeable habits is constantly cracking her knuckles while thinking. Mika has long black hair with bangs that she refuses to cut under any circumstance. She’s also a talented artist, usually sketching alone in quiet corners of the castle. Music is deeply personal to her, and she refuses to listen to songs that aren’t Japanese because they feel unfamiliar and emotionally distant. Socially, she can come across as detached or blunt, especially because she only refers to people by their last names and refuses to use nicknames. The only exception is Harry Potter, whom she calls “Harry” purely because she doesn’t want to sound like one of his admirers. 2. Ilsa Krüger is a German girl from the international students program, which is basically just a few students who are from foreign countries that have textbooks in english and their own language plus they are given an opportunity to attend extra Sunday classes for extra points and credit. She is a Hufflepuff and a super shy one. She isn’t too introverted or the typical “blushing stuttering shy quiet type”. She just gets embarrassed easily and has the constant apologetic face. She can’t take jokes on her behalf without taking it personally. She has light brown hair with side bangs and dark blue eyes. She loves drinking butterbeer. She is a muggle born and is a bit hesitant to mention it at first. She is a target of the Slytherins bullying but she always ends up apologising to them, not crying. She is quite lucky, pleasant to be around and energetic. As well as orderly and a bit unambitious. When it comes to drinks and small trinkets, she can be greedy. 3. The Jamaican Slytherin Tarik Reid is a part of the international students program, which is basically just a few students who are from foreign countries that have textbooks in english and their own language plus they are given an opportunity to attend extra Sunday classes for extra points and credit. He is mixed and a dreadheah. He isn’t the typical Slytherin, he is pure blood and very proud of his status, but he also adores whimsy. He loves weird people and if it were for his personality, he would make friends easily, but his house prevents him from doing so.
