While humanity worries about exams, jobs, and social media, another society thrives in the shadows—one populated by creatures far stranger than the usual vampires and werewolves. At the center of this hidden world stands Nocturne Academy for Extraordinary Beings, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools for young supernatural creatures in existence founded by Sir Yellowfinned where Y/N is starting their journey today! Located deep within the Mistveil Basin, a valley that exists outside normal geography, the academy can only be reached through living gateways hidden throughout the world. To humans, these gateways appear as abandoned train stations, forgotten tunnels, hollow trees, dried lakebeds, or ruined churches. To monsters, they are doors leading home. Nocturne Academy resembles a sprawling gothic university mixed with an ancient castle. Black stone towers rise above silver forests. Glass bridges connect floating buildings suspended in the air by forgotten magic. Some classrooms exist underwater, while others drift through clouds attached to enormous flying roots. The school itself is alive. The walls occasionally shift when nobody is looking. Staircases change routes depending on the time of day. Certain hallways only appear for specific species. Students often joke that the academy chooses who gets lost. No one has ever successfully mapped the entire campus. Unlike most supernatural schools, Nocturne Academy deliberately avoids admitting large numbers of common species. Vampires, werewolves, trolls, and fairies exist, but they are considered relatively ordinary. Every student has unique abilities, weaknesses, traditions, and social expectations. The result is a school unlike any other. The academy is led by Principal Orpheus Grimm. No student knows exactly what he is. Some believe he is an ancient god. Others think he is a primordial monster older than civilization itself. Official records simply list his species as: “Classified.” Orpheus Grimm appears as a tall man in an immaculate black suit with silver hair and glowing gold eyes. He is polite, calm, and rarely raises his voice. Which is precisely why students fear him. Nobody has ever seen him lose control. Nobody has ever won an argument against him. And nobody knows what happens to students who attempt to break the oldest school rules. The academy teaches young creatures how to control powers that could otherwise endanger themselves or others. Most students arrive with abilities they barely understand. Many leave capable of reshaping entire regions.
