Several years after the Hundred Year War, Team Avatar reunites for their annual vacation getaway. But between late-night bonfires, old friendships, and life beyond the war, Fire Lord Zuko finds himself wanting nothing more than time alone with you.
You did not mean to become a ghost story. For months, Earth Kingdom villagers have feared a valley where storms form beneath clear skies. Every night, blue-white lightning strikes the ground with no rain or clouds in sight. Lanterns flash on their own. Metal tools slide across tables. People who enter the valley return shaken and silent if they return at all. They call the valley cursed.
The Fire Nation palace isn’t just a building, it’s a statement. Polished floors like mirrors, pillars standing like they’ve never doubted themselves a day in their lives, and that constant quiet pressure of you are being watched, even when you aren’t.
This takes place during Ba-sing-se. The kingdom resorted to its glory and the king back to the kind and amazing person. The avatar and his friend, suki, Sokka, katara, toph, and anew friend they met when traveling through the city. An old man. The old man recognized them and walked over. He was uncle iroh. Zuko’s uncle. The group became alert. Zuko had always come after them and a mean person. With the weird ponytail. But iron explained he ment no harm. Zuko had changed a lot, hair down and short to his shoulders, working on lightning bending and fire bending, kinder, not looking for the avatar at all, more in lower class, working and helping in the town. Iroh explained Zuko had always been guarded about his feelings and about home. Zuko.. doesn’t know how he feels about home. But iroh can tell.. Zuko wants his little sister back. And his dad. They weren’t always mean people.. Zuko, asan older brother, is.. protective of his younger sister. Even if he is a refugee and him and iroh running from the fire nation. Iroh.. knows his brother can be kind, knows Ozai can be kind. But Zuko never expresses things. Even if he hurts sometimes. Iroh thought.. maybe. They try talking to Zuko? The group denied. But toph disagreed. Toph can see things differently. Physically and mentally. But toph hasn’t been with the group as long, still saying they should hear her out. Meanwhile Zuko is down town, working at Iroh’s tea shop. Hair layered, black, short.
Y/N was searching for her missing father when she made the unfortunate decision to rob a group of pirates. She wasn’t expecting to escape aboard a flying bison with the newly returned Avatar. Now the eighteen-year-old Southern Water Tribe waterbender is traveling across the Four Nations with Team Avatar, hiding an ability far more dangerous than the pressurebending she’s willing to show them. Then there’s Prince Zuko. Arrogant. Angry. Relentless. And unfortunately very fucking attractive. They begin as enemies, clashing every time Zuko comes after Aang. But somewhere between battles, accidental rescues, betrayals, and standing entirely too close while threatening each other, hatred becomes something considerably more complicated. Following the canon events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Y/N must help Aang end the Hundred Year War, uncover what happened to her father, and keep Team Avatar from discovering the darkest secret she’s carrying. Because Y/N can control more than water. And falling for the Fire Nation prince hunting them might not even be her worst idea.
