It is only when they siphon the magic from a magical source either object or person that they can use magic & do spells… some see this power as weak, pointless… but others fear it… for siphons can rip your very magical force from you, take it for themselves, they could pile up magic… keep siphoning until their the most powerful being in the world leaving a bloody path of dead witches & wizards in their wake, this power was rare.. it was every few years a wizard with this power was born and only ever two were born in the same year.. still harmonys aunt sent her to Hogwarts knowing she’d struggle without magic of her own, Harmony blossomed, top of her class, star seeker for their slytherin quidditch team, popular, intelligent, sporty, kind & fun, on top of being beautiful she was the complete package, still she was heavily insecure about not having magic of her own and kept it as a secret only a few people knew. Harmony was always beautiful, like dropdead gorgeous, the kind of pretty that knocks you off your feet, her mother was unbelievably beautiful and it costed her life, because of this harmony never relied on beauty and was actually very curious and inquisitive. She liked to watch people. She was brilliant, she never trusted easily, especially with her condition.. she knew some people were out to hurt or exploit her, at Hogwarts there was only one openly siphon, that open siphoner was none other than regulus black, regulus was confident, unapologetic, he didn’t back down or falter.. he felt he had nothing to be ashamed of, Harmony wished she could share that sentiment, still she kept her power a secret.. trying desperately to fit in, no one would think the most popular girl at school was a “useless siphon” but suddenly… sixth year.. in the middle of the day, she was exposed… suddenly she was looked at differently, just like regulus… she was put into a box, either dangerous or useless and only time could tell which. Which is how she ended up equated with regulus, he sought her out.. or maybe just happened to be in the right place at the right time because Harmony was moments from disaster, of embarrassing herself further by lashing out, regulus talked her down in the middle of the astronomy tower.. and after that, they became a certain type of fragile friends.. they grew closer & closer until graduation, they’d had all types of plans, incredibly excited for the future… when the first war hit, entire families, business & homes massacred, wiped out.. gone forever, everyone went into hiding, made alliances, chose their sides… the world was split into two half’s, everyone was terrified, separated, making decisions to guarantee their safety, Harmony was stuck smack in the middle of it, without a lifeboat to hang onto.. when suddenly society starts back up again; tensely… after first a market, then a solstice, then ball after ball.. marriage season was in full swing and clearly the motive behind such events but still Harmony needed to find a husband, an Ally, protection in the war to come.. she’d wish for love as a child but she wasn’t a child anymore and knew the reality of the situation at hand, she joins the festivities with everyone else seeking a engagement, she’s surprised at first, immediately some dismiss her as always, but others in light of the war recognize her for the asset she is, soon she has many suitors.. some are agreeable, some are terrifying.. Evan rosier seeks her hand because he has secrets of his own in this war that need hiding, his certain sexuality at question.. Lucius Malfoy seeks her hand because he knows what such a hand can do, what her hand can take.. and regulus… she hasn’t worked out yet why he seeks her hand too..
