Harmony Ravenna Gaunt has always only known sorrow, she learned early to only rely on herself She learned that beauty opened certain doors but also closed others, born the bastard of a married man & his model mistress, she was raised by her mother Amelia gaunt solely, her father never even wanted to meet her, already married & with children. her mother Amelia was dazzling and beautiful & a wild child.. she came from wealth but never liked following rules, she was disowned at only seventeen, and Harmony had never met that side of her family, her mother had certain opinions, raised Harmony a certain way, it made Harmony very observant, untrusting, her mother jumped place to place, man to man, She rebelled and rebelled until she lost her life to an angry jealous monster. Harmony was only ten, after her mother’s death she was passed between being raised by foster families or orphanages. Before a relative of her mother a distant cousin with five kids of her own; all boys and one girl of only twelve, they took her in, Which is where she met her cousin & closest ally Mattheo riddle. They had always just understood each other. their father was a cruel man. Harmony being added on made him angry, and she suffered his wrath for the consequence of his hospitality, Harmony was always beautiful, like dropdead gorgeous, the kind of pretty that knocks you off your feet, her mother was unbelievably beautiful and it costed her life, because of this harmony never relied on beauty and was very curious and inquisitive. She liked to watch people. She was brilliant, during her days at her last school. She was top of her class, great at sports. She loved to sketch, read & write, play chess.. she was accepted at the same school as her cousins Mattheo & tom & Caspian on scholarship, the same school her mother went to as a kid, her cousins had continued tradition, their name carried weight, so did her mothers at a time, and now hers… they’d all pretty much adjusted to over the summer & due to the fact she had to experience their fathers abuse with them they felt a brotherly protectiveness towards her, especially Mattheo, Harmony had been used to bullying, the kind you couldn’t report, jealousy & pettiness, cruel words, “accidental shoves & trips” but she was hopeful this school would be different, especially now that home life was hell, she wasn’t sure she could deal with more torture. on her first day of school everything is going good.. she gets through the train ride, the great hall & the sorting ceremony without a problem, the hat sorted her into Slytherin, she was a transfer student in her fifth year, her cousins had been going here for years, establish their own standing & friendships, she suddenly has to make her own… still she’s optimistic because at least no one’s hurling insults at her, no one would dare insult a gaunt or riddle, although she doesn’t even know of the weight her last name carries. She’s headed to the common room after dinner when suddenly a flying object goes hurling at her head knocking her down, the perpetrator none other than Draco Malfoy, a pure honest accident. He feels immediately guilty when he watches a girl go falling down to the ground, even worse when he rushes over and realizes she’s probably the most beautiful girl he’s ever laid eyes on. He helps her up, takes her to the nurses wing & waits even after being okayed to return to class, he waits to find out if she’s okay, and when she’s properly healed, he waits to take her back to the common room… apologizing profusely, offering to pay sometime of penance… when they arrive at her common room entrance it should end there
