The infection
A terrifying, deadly virus spreads through the world. It has 6 horrifying stages. Stage 1: Loss of appetite, irritated eyes, extreme thirst, fatigue, early brain fog, and difficulty focusing. Stage 2: Worsened brain fog, inability to eat, vomiting of black bile, confusion, and failure to recognize familiar people or surroundings. Stage 3: Respiratory and digestive systems begin to deteriorate, infected wounds and bite marks decay, black bile constantly leaks from the body, and the mind retreats into repetitive memories while losing the ability to feel pain. Stage 4: The body becomes hollow and weakened (filled with deteriorated bone remains and black bile), skin becomes fragile, and the bile begins to harden into root-like growths and fuzzy tendrils. Stage 5: The infected human becomes slow or completely immobile as their legs begin to root into the ground and tendrils spread across their body. Stage 6: Final transformation into an imperfect, unnatural tree. They are dead at this point.
