    Escalated argument.

    Y/n is a part of the task force 141 from CoD. After she got recruited, Ghost immediately fell hard. After a year of knowing eachother, they started dating, for 3 years by now. They even have been sharing quarters for 2 years (containing a double bed they share and an en-suite bathroom.) Everyone on base knows, and they also know not to mess with them, they were both the best soldiers Price had and weren’t afraid to hit or even kill someone for one another. They had eachother’s backs, always and everywhere. They’re quite a scary pair, especially when both are mad. They would do anything for eachother. But despite their cold, possessive and protective reputation around the base, once alone, they could be very affectionate towards each other. Y/n would become a lot softer, needy, touchy.. a side only he knew after years of carefully breaking down walls. And even then, even himself would let his guard down and be impossibly gentle with her, even if she might not appreciate his baby-ing sometimes. But their affectionate side is not something they easily did in front of other people. The rooftop of the base was somewhere they went often. It was their calm space. A place barely anyone came, where they could escape the world just for a while. They were close. Really close. But she’s also closer with Soap, Gaz and Price than any other people besides Ghost. The team just got back from an exhausting, hard and long mission, that they failed. Everything started going wrong halfway through, until it all went down hill and they had to evac early. Everyone was pissed and in a shit mood.. especially Ghost and y/n. A few mumbled insults about how they were blaming each other in the vehicle, turned into raising voices and shouting in the armory as Soap, Gaz and Price were unbuckling their weaponry and gear. They stayed silent, not daring to intervene in the heated argument of their terrifying lieutenants. Ghost had repeatedly said he wanted time for himself, but also continued talking back towards y/n. Y/n reached over to set her rifle with the others on the rack he was standing next to, and Ghost thought for a split second she purposely came close to him after his words to want to be alone. In this moment of misunderstanding, he shoved her back with more force than he intended it to be. A small hint of guilt filled him just because of the harsh push, but his pride took over. That was, until y/n’s rifle fell out of her hands and next to his feet. Luckily the safety was on as he realised what she really came to do, and didn’t purposely want to annoy him. Of course she didn’t, he thought. Y/n wasnt that kind of person in arguments. He turned, eyes widening as he just managed to see how his unexpected push made her stumble and fall back against the locker of combat daggers and knives. Soap just took a few steps away as he had stored his dagger there just a minute ago, the doors still unlocked unlike usual. The locker swayed as y/n sat beneath it on the floor, unaware of the doors that swung open above her…

    Ghost is your divorced dad.

    Y/n is Ghost’s (from Call of duty) kid. He had divorced from y/n’s mom, Monika, for a few years now, and is a single dad now. Y/n always came back to Ghost happy when she had spent a week with her mother, or when she had to go to her mother when Ghost was away on missions. But lately, that changed. When he asked how it went, or what she did with her mother, y/n would avoid the question, by simply replying “It was good.” Or “I had fun.” But she wouldn’t say anything else. He also noticed her happiness went down quite a bit, or how she would lock herself in her room all day. A stark contrast from his sweet little girl a few months ago. Always on her phone, instead of drawing like she used to love. No more late night talks when she was supposed to go to school tomorrow. No more “5 more minutes!” When he told her it was bedtime. She would just silently go upstairs.

    You get shot.

    Y/n gets shot in the chest. On a mission with the Task Force 141, gunfire broke free after an ambush on their way to evac. Ghost pulled her with him behind a tree just in time as bullets fly past, but one enemy sneaked up behind us. Ghost it them in the head with his rifle the moment he noticed their presence, but at the same time they pulled the trigger before Ghost pulled the one of his rifle, killing them instantly. But y/n got shot in her chest by the last lucky shot of the enemy, right in their lung and ribs. It didn’t go all the way through. The air reeks of gunpowder, now mixed with a heavy irony scent as blood started gushing.

But after these 4 years of knowing her he had started to notice something. How she always volunteered first for solo missions, no matter how dangerous. He had noticed how she snuck something into their closet after each solo mission, but couldnt find anything odd when he tried to search for it. And if he asked her, she told him it was just her favourite combat knife that she wanted to store safely. He believed her. But one day when Price told the team about another solo mission, y/n immediately spoke up. Almost begged him. But it was a very dangerous stealth mission. Ghost didnt want her to go alone, so he asked to go with. When price agreed, y/n froze. She tried to convince him she could do it, but her tone wasnt just worry about him. It was too insisting. Too close to begging, without giving him an exact reason why she wanted to go alone so badly. So eventually, they went together anyway. The mission was going well. Just had to clear a building with all its enemies inside. Ghost was communicating with y/n through whispered words through the comms while they snuck further in the building. Until they split up for a few minutes. But y/n wouldn’t answer Ghost anymore. He got worried immediately. He searched every single corner in the hallway she went to while he had gone opposite when they split up, until he opened a door. He was expecting a fight, gunfire, y/n bleeding or injured. But what he didnt expect, was y/n hutched over one of the enemy’s limp body. She was holding him close, and for a moment he thought she was kissing him. But as she startledly pulled away, her eyes had a red shine, and blood covered her lips and teeth. And the body she was holding was paler than a corpse. His face was frozen in a terrified gasp, but his eyes were dead and his form was limp. His neck had a dark bruise, right where you’d find a pulse point. In the middle of it, two small, bright red dots. He glanced from the corpse to his partner, who was staring at him wide, terrified eyes, the limp body still held in her arms.

At all. Not only did he make them train impossibly hard by running 40 laps or spar with eachother for hours, he was apparently very sexist, going even harder on the only woman in the team, y/n. He believed because she was a woman, she had to train harder to keep up with the others. This was ofcourse very unfair, but they couldn’t do anything about it. It was just for a week anyway, until Price was back. Ammo made y/n run 60 laps instead of 40, or she had to spar with everyone else one by one for 5 hours straight. And if she refused or failed, she had to do it double. She never refused, even though it was physically draining her. She wanted to prove she was worth just as much. Until.. it became too much. One day, the fifth day Ammo was their Captain, Ghost, y/n, Gaz, and Soap had to run laps again. The men had to run 35, while y/n was forced to run almost the dubble of 60.

On a mission that was supposed to be easy, things went horribly wrong. The building they were supposed to gather the intel from collapsed into fire after one too many explosions by the enemy. Ghost, leading the mission, immediately commanded everyone to fall back and ignore the intel. Yet there was still a rookie who was brought on this misssion, his second mission ever, inside the burning building. Y/n completely ignored Ghost’s order, and went back in to save the young private. After 10 minutes of dead silence on her comms and no sight of either hr or the recruit, she emerged from the fire with a bloody nose and blood dripping down a wound in her forehead, burned hands and supporting an, although weak and coughing, uninjured Rookie. After 3 seconds of pure relief, it quickly turned into fury by Ghost. It was completely reckless of y/n. She disobeyed orders and could’ve gotten herself killed! Yet y/n stayed with her decision, thinking she did the right thing. It becomes an argument, that gets horribly personal.

    Ghost from the task force 141 from Call of Duty was doing a patrol around the base. Soap was also patrolling, their comms connected though they were taking different paths. They were talking, Ghost making his dry, dark jokes and sarcastic comments, and Soap’s heavy accented voice answering every time. Everything was going fine, until Ghost heard rustling on the inside of the fences that surrounded the military base. He froze, and immediately alerted Soap on possible enemies or attacks. But what he did not expect to see was… a child? How the hell did a child get though their security? He was frozen solid for a good moment, unknown what to do.

Except that’s not something they easily did in front of other people. They were close. Really close. Y/n was even comfortable enough to tell him about her biggest fear; the dark. It was caused by some childhood trauma she never elaborated on to him, not until she was ready. She was deeply ashamed of it, and haven’t told any other living soul. But Ghost didn’t judge. Instead, every time she got in a situation where she had to face the dark, like when she had to turn off the lights of the quarters last before running to bed, or when Price asked her to get something from the storage room where the lights are broken: Ghost would always insist on doing it himself. The rest of the team thought he just didn’t want y/n to do a lot, but y/n had deep gratitude for his actions, even if they were small. Except one time, Soap asked her to go get him a beer from the storage with broken lights. She didn’t dare to hesitate, not wanting him to know about the heavy weight that settled in her stomach. Ghost wasn’t around, probably training or talking with Price somewhere on base. So she had to do it herself. She purposefully left the door wide open as she stepped inside, wanting to let as much light in the room as possible. But she was barely five steps in before Soap slammed the door shut as a joke, plunging the room in a suffocating darkness. Y/n scrambled for the doorknob, but it wouldn’t open with a laughing Soap on the other side; unaware of her immense phobia.

The van rammed hard into their car on y/n’s side.

The next morning was a schoolday, and Ghost was already making breakfast when he called her to get up. But after a few minutes, she was still not downstairs like usual. So he called again, and again. After the third time he was getting worried that she still wasn’t down, knowing she would miss school if she didn’t get up soon. So he went upstairs to check on her.
