In private it is a disaster, emotions, breakdowns, arguing, they are forced to show public affection and make it seem like they are a happy couple, like it’s real. They have to hug, hold hands, kiss, y/n has to sleep in his dorm twice a week, it’s orders from their parents, the contract, no if ands or buts. They must do anything in their power to withhold this alliance and make it seem as convincing as possible. Y/n is of course devastated she has to marry so young, Draco at that. The guy she has had conflict with in the past. So therefore she gets emotional at times, but no matter what Draco is there for her throughout this rough journey together. He treats her like an absolute princess, buys her anything she wants, lies her shoes, kisses her forehead, this man is literally on his knees for her.
