It's a quiet windy November afternoon, which means end of the year at Welton Academy. The snow is already beginning to fall. And as pretty as the time of the season it is, this is the hardest time of year for the students and administrators. If you fail two or more exams you would be expelled, it makes getting and staying in so much harder. The pressure is real for the students, most have break downs in the study room. The horror stories she's heard are of students having breakdowns so bad that they have to be sent home causing them to be expelled for not being present at their exams. The case for mady is similar, she's on the verge of a break down but usually manages to find ways to cope. This time isn't much different in the sense that it's stressful, but it's definitely going to be much harder; her Chemistry score is already below average and she's on the edge of completely failing the class. After ranting to her closest friend, Meeks, about how badly her grades are hurting, she knows that everyone's grades probably are but that certainly doesn't help her case. She needs these grades or she won't hear the end of it from her parents. She's panicking. "I can always help you get your grade higher," Meeks suggests, sitting beside her on the bench in the eerily silent study room. The administrators slowly pace around the room, observing the students studying assiduously
