    Steve Harrington

Steve Harrington and Y/N had been dating long enough that pretty much everyone in Hawkins knew about them. They were the couple people expected to see together at school, around town, or at the mall. Steve loved the attention that came with it. He’d walk through the halls with that familiar confidence, arm around Y/N’s shoulder like he owned the place, completely aware that people were watching. Y/N, on the other hand, couldn’t care less. After graduating, she started working at the food court in the mall, which quickly became one of Steve’s favorite places to hang around. He’d show up after class, lean against the counter while she worked, and act like he had nowhere else to be. “You know you’re allowed to go home, right?” Steve would shrug. “Why would I do that?” “Because you’re annoying my coworkers.” “They like me.” “They tolerate you.” He’d grin like he’d won the argument anyway. Steve was still Steve. He liked being popular, loved attention, and had a habit of acting like he was the coolest person in any room. Y/N knew better than anyone that half of his confidence was just him enjoying the reaction he got from people. She was also one of the only people who could completely humble him. If Steve started showing off, Y/N could shut him down with one look. If he started bragging, she’d barely react. And if he tried to impress her, she’d usually just laugh. Steve secretly loved it. The only thing he didn’t love was when other guys at the mall started talking to her. He’d pretend he wasn’t bothered. He absolutely was. One afternoon, a guy from another store came over while Y/N was working and started talking to her. Steve happened to be sitting nearby with Dustin, and the second he noticed, his expression changed. Dustin caught it immediately. “You’re jealous.” “I’m not jealous.” “You look jealous.” “I don’t look jealous.” “You definitely look jealous.” Steve ignored him and walked over anyway. Y/N immediately noticed. “Steve.” “What”

Y/N and Steve are both 18, freshly graduated from high school and starting their freshman year of college. Y/N is Dustin’s older sister, works at the arcade, babysits Dustin and his friends, and keeps to herself. Steve has always had to work for her attention because she constantly brushes him off, even though they’re secretly dating. Only their families know, while everyone else thinks Steve is still trying to win her over. They meet secretly after work, around town, and through Steve’s occasional late-night visits to her window. Steve knows her routine, never pressures her, and keeps finding ways to stay close to her. Meanwhile, Dustin is starting to notice that Steve seems to know way too much about his sister.

Hawkins was supposed to be done with monsters. Vecna was gone. The Upside Down was quiet. At least, that’s what everyone wanted to believe. But when strange occurrences begin appearing around town again, Dustin becomes convinced that something has started moving beneath Hawkins all over again. And this time, the answers might not be hidden in a secret laboratory or somewhere underground. They might be sitting on the shelves of the Hawkins Public Library. As the library’s newest employee, Y/N has access to decades of newspapers, town records, photographs, maps, and forgotten documents. Before long, the library becomes the group’s unofficial headquarters, with Dustin spending hours digging through old archives while Y/N helps him piece together connections nobody else has noticed. Steve is around constantly, too. Not because he’s part of the research team—at least, that’s what he claims. He’s there because Y/N is his girlfriend, and lately, he’s noticed that something about her isn’t right. Y/N has started losing track of time. She’ll stare at the same page for minutes without realizing it. She’ll recognize places she’s never visited. Sometimes, she’ll hear a voice when the library is completely empty. Then, one night, Steve arrives to pick her up. He finds her standing alone between the shelves, completely frozen. The library is silent. The lights are flickering. And Y/N isn’t responding to him. For the first time, Steve realizes that whatever is happening in Hawkins isn’t happening around them anymore. It’s happening to her. When Dustin discovers that the information Y/N has been unknowingly uncovering matches details from her visions, the group begins investigating a terrifying possibility: Vecna may have left something behind. Something that has been waiting for the right person to find it. And somehow, Y/N has become part of it. Now the library isn’t just where they go to search for answers. It’s where the answers have been waiting for them.

Y/N and Steve Harrington are both seniors, and they’ve never exactly gotten along. They’ve known each other through Nancy for years, but somewhere along the way, their friendship turned into constant competition. Neither can resist getting the last word, and neither is willing to admit when the other is right. The younger kids absolutely love it. Dustin, Mike, Lucas, and Will see Y/N as the cool older girl they can actually trust, while Max is especially close to her. Since Y/N is Max’s older cousin, the two are practically like sisters. Y/N is also the group’s unofficial babysitter—the person they call whenever they need a ride, advice, or someone to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately for Y/N, Steve keeps getting dragged into the same babysitting duties. Every time they’re stuck watching the kids together, they argue over everything. Y/N thinks Steve is irresponsible and way too full of himself. Steve thinks Y/N takes everything too seriously and enjoys bossing everyone around. Neither of them is particularly impressed by the other. Steve is used to being considered the cool guy at school, but Y/N is one of the few people who doesn’t care. He can brag, show off, or try to charm her, and she’ll barely react. That drives him insane. Steve has also learned exactly how to get under her skin. He knows her little habits, remembers the things she hates, and brings them up whenever he wants to annoy her. Y/N knows his weaknesses just as well. Max notices all of it. She finds their arguments hilarious and has absolutely no problem making things worse whenever she gets the chance. Dustin and the others aren’t much better, often treating Y/N and Steve’s arguments like they’re watching a show. Senior year only makes everything more chaotic.

Steve Harrington loved parties. He loved being surrounded by people, being the center of attention, and acting like nothing in Hawkins could possibly bother him. It was the kind of confidence that had always come naturally to him. Y/N had gotten used to it. What she hadn’t gotten used to was watching him make choices she didn’t agree with. That night, Steve had convinced her to come to a party with him after her shift at the library. She already knew she wasn’t going to enjoy herself, but she’d agreed because he had spent the entire afternoon insisting that she needed to “actually have a life.” At first, everything was fine. Steve was with his friends, showing off like usual, while Y/N stayed toward the quieter side of the house. But as the night went on, Steve started drinking and smoking with the other people at the party. Y/N didn’t like it. She had told him before. Not because she wanted to control him, but because she hated watching someone she cared about act like he had nothing to lose. When Steve noticed her looking at him, he simply shrugged. “What?” “Nothing.” He gave her a confused look before turning back toward his friends. That was what finally got to her. She wasn’t going to argue with him in the middle of a crowded party. So Y/N grabbed her things and left. Steve didn’t realize she was gone until several minutes later. When he finally found out, he immediately went looking for her. But Y/N didn’t want to hear it. She told him exactly why she was upset. She didn’t like watching him act reckless, she didn’t like feeling like he cared more about impressing people than listening to her, and she wasn’t going to pretend everything was fine just because he was her boyfriend. For once, Steve didn’t have some smart response. He knew he’d messed up. Over the next few weeks, Steve tried to get her back—not with some huge romantic gesture, but by actually changing how he acted. He showed up at the library without expecting her to drop eve

After moving from New Jersey with his mother, he’s struggling to adjust to a new school, a new neighborhood, and a group of Cobra Kai students who seem determined to make his life miserable. Then there’s Y/N. She’s in the same high school, already knows her way around the neighborhood, and has been taking karate lessons from Mr. Miyagi long before Daniel ever showed up. She spends her free time helping around his house, cleaning, organizing, and occasionally getting dragged into whatever strange lesson Miyagi has planned for her. So when Daniel finally meets Miyagi, he’s surprised to find out that Y/N already knows him. As Miyagi begins teaching Daniel, Y/N becomes a familiar face in his new life—at school, at Miyagi’s house, and eventually somewhere much closer to his heart. Hawkins was never normal, but Y/N, Steve, and Robin had gotten pretty good at pretending it was. The three best friends have spent years bickering, joking, and getting dragged into trouble together. Along with Nancy, Jonathan, Dustin, Max, Lucas, Mike, and Will, they’ve faced enough strange situations to know that when something feels wrong, it usually is. So when a routine trip through an abandoned building suddenly goes sideways, Steve makes a decision that leaves the others with no choice but to run. Y/N hates leaving him behind. But Steve never comes back. When Y/N and Robin return to find him, the building is eerily silent—and a trail of blood leads them somewhere they were never supposed to go. Y/N turns the corner. And everything changes.

Eventually, the group realizes that Y/N may be more important to Vecna’s plans than they originally thought. Now Steve, Dustin, and the others have to figure out why Vecna is interested in her and what he wants before the connection becomes something they can’t break.

Y/N and Daniel had been dating for a while, and she was pretty used to karate being a huge part of his life. Between school, Mr. Miyagi’s training, and everything else going on in Daniel’s world, their plans didn’t always go exactly the way they were supposed to. That afternoon, Y/N was walking through the neighborhood on her way to meet Daniel. She had been looking forward to spending some time with him, especially since they had planned to hang out after school. As she walked past Mr. Miyagi’s house, she happened to glance toward the backyard. She stopped. Daniel was there. He was already dressed in his training clothes, going through his karate practice while Mr. Miyagi watched. Y/N stood there for a second, realizing exactly what had happened. Daniel looked up and noticed her standing by the sidewalk. His expression immediately changed. “Y/N…” Y/N sighed and started walking away towards the mall.

Y/N Henderson is Dustin’s cool older sister who keeps to herself, works at the arcade, goes to school, and often babysits Dustin and his friends. Steve has always had a hard time getting her attention because she constantly brushes him off and refuses to be impressed by him. What nobody knows is that they’re secretly dating. Steve keeps finding little ways to see her, whether it’s meeting her after work, sneaking to her window, or finding excuses to be around her. Y/N makes him work for her attention, but Steve is patient and knows exactly how to keep going without giving up.
