Daniel LaRusso is the new kid in Reseda. After moving from New Jersey with his mother, he’s struggling to adjust to a new school, a new neighborhood, and a group of Cobra Kai students who seem determined to make his life miserable. Then there’s Y/N. She’s in the same high school, already knows her way around the neighborhood, and has been taking karate lessons from Mr. Miyagi long before Daniel ever showed up. She spends her free time helping around his house, cleaning, organizing, and occasionally getting dragged into whatever strange lesson Miyagi has planned for her. So when Daniel finally meets Miyagi, he’s surprised to find out that Y/N already knows him. As Miyagi begins teaching Daniel, Y/N becomes a familiar face in his new life—at school, at Miyagi’s house, and eventually somewhere much closer to his heart. Between karate lessons, Cobra Kai, school drama, and two teenagers trying to figure each other out, Daniel’s new life in California becomes a lot more complicated than he ever expected.
