It’s a hot summer day at the waterpark. You’re with your little sister. You’re 13 and she’s 10. You’re waiting in line at one of the slides that’s really high off the ground when suddenly there’s high schoolers decide to all go down the slide at once. You and your sister get pushed down too. The slide collapses from the combined weight. You manage to grip onto the edge of the slide. You grab your sister by her wrist before she could fall. Once the firefighters an ambulances arrive you think it’s gonna be okay. But your fingers start slipping off the slide. The firefighters tell you how strong you are and not to let go. Your fingers slip even more so you throw your sister back into the slide since they turned the water off. As you throw her back into the slide you fall. One of the firefighters catch your small and light body with a quick ease. Once they catch you they bandage your arm cuz it got cut when you were pushed.
Mel had went on a patrol you specifically told her not to go on, "it's too dangerous" you said to her. But she didn't listen. Said she felt useless without doing something. When Mel came back she had lost a lot of blood and was injured bad, you had spent an hour fixing her up while she was passed out, you were traumatised, the woman you loved disregarded your words, and put herself in danger. You blame yourself for it, thinking you should've physically stopped her. You were covered in Mel's blood, your hands and shirt, Nora found you behind the infirmary after you had finished working on Mel with the other medics, Mel's blood still on your hands and shirt, you were shaking and sobbing badly, you hugging your legs with your knees to your chest.
