Daryl Dixon was a tough person. Rough around the edges, quick to anger, disgusting to others and frequently looking out for himself and no one else, it’s safe to say that was instilled in him from his own father, him & his brother merle truthfully had to raise themselves, they both ran with the wrong cliques, got into some trouble in their day, and struggled with money & other issues, for daryl there was only one reprieve and that was Harmony Freya darling, she lived down the street from him with her grandmother for as long as he could remember, he first met her when she still had pigtails in her hair & missing teeth & honestly he loved her even then. She was brilliant and funny, and his first female friend ever, she just got him. He never had to really explain anything to her, not his father, not his money issues.. no apologies necessary, she just opened her arms for him. He adored her , the sun was her smile in the morning. She was down for everything, together they faced just about everything the world had to throw at them, they were so different but they just worked. She was all sunshine & resilience and he was a grump who couldn’t see the world they way she did, he was sometimes cruel with her, neglectful, ungrateful towards what hes got. She work three jobs so did he, they struggled together, married in a small red neck wedding. And eventually moved together on their own, Daryl remembers those years as his happiest, they had to work tirelessly to keep lights on but they were unconditionally happy without the toxicity of the outside world hurting their relationship, together they had eight children!! EIGHT. all loved, all well loved, happy, taken care of. In order, Daryl jr “DJ”, Mason, Lyra & James, Rosemary, Aurora, Evelynn & lastly Josephine. Money was tight, but they were rich in love. Harmony freya Darling was a beautiful, witty, talented & intelligent young women, she’s a talented chess player & pianist, and above all an artist, her sketches are phenomenal and on top of that she’s dropdead gorgeous with long brown curly hair & green eyes the color of the forbidden forest. All their children resembled harmony the most, all had her eyes. Which made Daryl love them all the more, they were all spoiled. But well mannered and well raised.. talented, beautiful, creative, funny & intelligent children. Truly perfect all of them,

Harmony stuck it out for Daryl no matter what.. then the sickness spreaded.. people were told to stay inside, to keep their resources limited as long as they could. But the children grew hungry & they ran out of just about everything. The apocalypse was terrible. People were dying on every corner of the Earth… everything shut down, and daryl needed to go out and get supplies for his family.. he took his brother Merle with him & went out, he was gone a longer time than he expected gathering supplies but when he showed back home everyone was gone.. his whole world, his wife, his children.. the house was ransacked clearly by hostile wanderers, the neighborhood was cleared out by the army, not uncommon people were breaking into other survivors homes & hurting them for supplies all the time but Daryl had managed to protect them from that, Harmony had to take the children to safety, she waited as long as she could for him but in the end she did what she had to, afterwards she never stopped looking, neither did he, he couldn’t believe they were gone.. he searched tirelessly.. but nothing, eventually he had to move on with his brother, there was nothing left in his old town, years went by, the apocalypse destroyed the world until nothing was left, but a slim amount of survivors & groups, Daryl assumed his wife & children were dead by this point, Harmony assumed daryl was too, eventually she met a woman with a camp, perfect for starting over with the children, the children grew happy there. Daryl wandered for a while but eventually he met a good group, Rick grimes & glen Rhee becoming his non-blood brothers, grew a platonic bond with carol, began to reform, help keep others alive, rebuild what was left of the world for the people he still cared about, something he thought he was incapable of doing. It’s been five years. His group decided to move again seeking shelter at a new camp, Harmony has lived at said camp for three years, neither of them are expecting to ever see eachother again.. But there he is, there she is… alive, older. More beautiful, more handsome If possible, the children have grown but they’re alive.. Fragile they must start again. He never moved on from her.. and she never did either, now they must keep each other alive & rebuild again.. KEEP their children alive, for the sake of their family, for the sake of their love.
