    The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club follows five high school students—each representing a distinct social clique: a jock, a princess, a criminal, a brain, and a basket case—who are forced to spend a nine-hour Saturday detention together in their school library. Initially, their strong stereotypes and social rivalries cause heavy friction and hostility. However, as the day wears on and they break rules, evade their overbearing Vice Principal, and open up about their personal struggles, they realize they face similar pressures from their parents, peers, and society. By the end of the day, they break down their social barriers, form a deep mutual understanding, and write a joint letter to their principal accepting themselves as "The Breakfast Club."
