Everyone is divided into Alphas and Omegas, the alphas have all the power, privilege and rights. Omegas though have nothing and are nothing, they’re muck, treated like a mix between a slave, a baby, a pet (especially with the mandatory collar) and a woman in the 1950s (with mandatory “feminine attire”, like skirts, blouses and dresses). Y/N is classified as an Omega at 18 and gets shunted into the dirt…and she’s okay with that
