madison routledge is john bs little sister by one year. they are close in age and as people. best friends. that meant all his close friends were hers too. especially his best friend jj maybank. they grew closer and closer as she grew up as jj practically lived in their house (the chateau). it was always made clear that maddy was strictly off limits to all of john bs friends ESPECIALLY jj. however eventually nothing could keep the two apart. they had a sort of energy that is rare. soulmates. john b was angry at first of course, but once he saw how in love they were he eventually got used to the idea. now, 4 years later, (madison is 22 the rest are 23) they are still together and more than accepted. they are still just as in love as they’ve always been. they do everything together with the pogues and without them. they live in the chateau. they finally have the place all to themselves since sarah and john b got married and got their own place. they even fight like an old married couple. this day in particular they are having another stupid fight arguing back and forth as they move about the empty chateau. eventually after a long fight jj ends the argument with a shocking marriage proposal just to get her to shut up and because he can’t wait another minute to not be engaged. even when they fight he only falls more in love. he doesn’t even have a ring or a plan. he just demands she marry him because he loves her so much.

(really it’s just everyone’s but his) he gets even more clingy when he’s tired. he eventually promises to be good and leave her alone trying to nap but is historically bad at napping and keeps trying to talk to her since he has already been woken up. they are both tired because they stayed up super late last night. the story starts right when she walks into the chateau. jj is knocked out.
madison is best friends with brooke starkey. they basically grew up together so they are super close with each others families too. they are both 22. brooke has an older brother named drew starkey. he’s 27. he moved away from home to pursue acting nine years before. just recently he’s been successful with a series called outer banks. he hasn’t seen madison since he left but before that he always treated her like another little sister. maddy however always had a small crush on him though she wasn’t obvious about it. drew decided since he doesn’t have a lot of time to visit his family he would fly them out to la to visit him for a couple days. that includes maddy of course she basically is family. they are all staying in drew’s house which has enough bedrooms for all of them. now that they haven’t seen each other in years and maddy has fully grown up and into her body will things be different? or will she still just be another little sister?
