madison is a pogue. she is super close with all of them but best friends with jj maybank specifically. its never been more than platonic though others have noticed a little bit of tension growing throughout the years: a lingering touch, a lasting gaze. the group has been getting into trouble lately with all the royal merchant shipwreck and gold stuff. never did they think it would severely harm any of them until this day. they are fighting with rafe and barry and their guns get pulled warning shots ring out as they tear off running away. the pogues celebrate getting them to leave so that they can finally have the gold to themselves when they turn and see maddy was hit by one of the stray bullets. she slowly pulls away her hands from her ribs and looks down at them covered in blood. her death scene is dramatic and slow.
