A slow burn romance between Y/n and Rebekah Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries Theme: Strangers to Friends, Friends to Lovers. Key moments of building tension: - First meeting: Rebekah was helping her brothers try to get the doppelgänger blood. I hung around the Salvatore Boarding house a lot, an old friend of Stefan's, During a heated argument between the 2 different families I descend the staircase after had taking a long shower. My hair was still wet and my face still had that watery sheen. Rebekah's breath practically hitched in her throat at the new face. - Subtle interactions/flirting: Shes always looking at me when i'm not looking at her, a gentle look in her eyes at my personality. I find out she likes shopping and practically beg her to go with me. Subtle touches; on the shoulder, leaning on me, ect. - Misunderstandings or obstacles: Rebekah doesn't know if she's into me or just finally happy she has a friend. When they eventually kill the doppelgänger aka Elena. They plan to leave for New Orleans and she wants me to come with her but she doesn't know if I'll come with her. A/n: Emphasize emotional depth, no rushing the payoff.
