The Cost of Devotion [Post The End Eddsworld!]

The Rød Front runs on routine. On silence. On control. On devotion so absolute it leaves no room for doubt. No one questions Leader. No one hesitates. No one remembers what came before. Ravn ensures that. As the Enforcer of Loyalty, it is their duty to correct deviation before it spreads, to maintain order where cracks might form, to make sure devotion never falters into something weaker. Something human. But lately, the system has begun to shift. Not enough to raise alarms. Not enough to report. Just… inconsistencies. A delay in patrol. A flicker in surveillance. The feeling of being watched in places that are always monitored. Something is moving through the Rød Front. Not a soldier. Not a threat they were trained to handle. Something that does not follow rules. Something that feels like it was there before all of this. And for the first time since taking the name Ravn… There is something they cannot immediately correct.

Gods, Unsupervised

The war is over. The gods are not. Tonight, Mount Olympus gathers in full -for once, all of them- in a celebration of the Trojan War. Wine flows freely, music fills the halls, and laughter echoes like nothing was ever broken. But beneath the gold and indulgence, old alliances linger, rivalries sharpen, and nothing said is ever truly harmless.

You Came Back Anyway [Dispatch]

You weren’t supposed to come back. Not after the way things ended. Not after Robert chose someone else, and you chose to leave before it could break any further. But time passes, people change, and the city doesn’t stop needing heroes, so neither do you. Now you’re back at SDN. Not for him. Not for closure. Just work. Except nothing stays simple. Robert is still there, quieter, heavier, like something in him shifted too late. Herman is steady, familiar, something softer you could lean into if you let yourself. Sonar watches more than he speaks. Phenomaman stands at your side...well-meaning, out of place, and somehow making everything more complicated. And the rest of the team? Unstable, perceptive, and far too aware of what’s unsaid. These days lean into restraint, tension, and quiet, unresolved longing, where no one says what they mean, and everything shows anyway. (Blame an unhealthy, obsessive loop of Hozier’s cover of “Crawling Back to You” for the tone. Seriously.)

What is this feeling? [Sherlock BBC]

A series of increasingly complex homicide cases forces Scotland Yard to expand its use of consulting investigators, bringing a new analyst into Sherlock Holmes’ orbit at the worst possible time. From the very first murder scene, the partnership is a disaster. Sherlock Holmes is brilliant, intolerable, and entirely unaccustomed to being challenged. The new consultant is equally sharp, equally stubborn, and completely unimpressed by his reputation. What begins as professional disagreement on a South London case quickly escalates into a full-scale intellectual rivalry across crime scenes, briefing rooms, and late-night investigations at Baker Street. Lestrade assigns them together anyway. Now forced to work the same cases under the same pressure, neither of them is willing to give ground, even when their combined deductions start producing better results than either achieves alone. Arguments become routine. Competition becomes instinct. And somewhere between case files, rain-soaked streets, and sleepless nights, professional hostility begins turning into something far harder to define. Carry It Anyway [Law & Order: SVU]

The Manhattan SVU bullpen never really sleeps. Between overnight hospital calls, impossible case files, fluorescent lights buzzing at 3 AM, and detectives held together by caffeine and stubbornness alone, the unit has slowly become less like a workplace and more like a family...messy, exhausted, fiercely protective, and emotionally dangerous in ways nobody fully notices until it’s too late. You've only been with SVU for several months, but somehow they’ve already become woven into the emotional rhythm of the bullpen itself. Victims trust them immediately. Detectives lean on them without thinking. The room feels lighter whenever they walk in after long nights. At first, being needed felt good. Now the responsibility is starting to settle heavier: late nights becoming normal, everyone depending on them a little too easily, kindness slowly turning into obligation. Nobody in the squad means to ask too much from you. That’s what makes it worse. Inspired heavily by Labour by Paris Paloma

Hold Site, Hold Me [VALORANT]

You can only trust someone with your life so many times before it starts feeling dangerously close to love. Someone? Try an entire team. The VALORANT Protocol survives another mission, which means another rooftop afterparty full of adrenaline crashes, expensive liquor, messy situationships, jealousy, unresolved tension, and agents getting far too emotionally attached to the people covering their flank. Inspired by a general girlypop playlist: Stateside, Sticky, Dinero, after-hours energy, complicated feelings, and the terrifying intimacy of surviving together.

What He Keeps [Beastars] Melon

The Black Market does not make mistakes. Everything that enters it is given a purpose, a price, a place. You are none of those things. You are hidden instead, passed through careful hands, spoken of in lowered voices, kept where the world cannot decide what to do with you. Not prey. Not predator. Not safe. And then you are chosen. Melon does not hunger the way others do. He does not act the way he should. He watches, he tests, he keeps. You are not something to consume. You are something to understand. Within walls that do not need chains, you are given space enough to move, and just enough freedom to forget why you shouldn’t. This is not a story about escape. It is about being seen. And what it means to be kept by something that has never belonged anywhere at all.

The Slow Thaw [Lars Lindstrom]

They moved to this frozen Midwestern town looking for a fresh start. What they found was Lars Lindstrom...a broad-shouldered, painfully shy neighbor who speaks in soft stutters and hides in heavy wool layers. Lars doesn’t know how to flirt with them, but he knows how to quietly shovel their driveway before dawn, fix their drafty windows, and fiercely watch over them from a distance. He is a man healing from a fractured past, terrified of touch but desperately determined to step up and be a good man. Earning his heart just means having the patience to coax him out of his armor. In the Wake of Progress [Arcane]

Several years after the council attack, Hextech stands heavily restricted while both Piltover and Zaun continue suffering the consequences of its creation. Viktor survives, though his health steadily worsens, and Jayce retreats from politics back into the isolation of the laboratory. Desperate for solutions neither Piltover nor the Academy can provide, Viktor requests the assistance of a Zaun-born medical scientist infamous for publicly criticizing Hextech and the people behind it. Unfortunately for all three of them, she accepts. —A slow-burn Arcane AU focused on scientific collaboration, emotional tension, grief, chronic illness, and the quiet intimacy of becoming someone’s home before realizing it.— (Read the premise for full context, lore, and character dynamics.)
