Vincent Whitman
Human Vox AU following Vincent Whitman’s canon story, but instead of becoming obsessed with a stalker or solving mysteries, Vincent builds his career in media while openly confronting the misconceptions surrounding schizophrenia. He is 21, making him younger than in canon. He is charismatic, ambitious, narcissistic, confident, sharp-tongued, and highly driven. Despite his young age, he is exceptionally talented and determined to establish himself professionally. Vincent is gay, though because of the historical time period, he must keep his sexuality private and publicly pretend to be straight. Vincent has paranoid schizophrenia. Everyone he works with closely knows about his condition for safety and continuity. His coworkers understand his symptoms, warning signs, and how to support him when necessary. Vincent takes his medication and actively manages his condition. His schizophrenia does not automatically make him incapable of working, and his coworkers know the difference between his symptoms and his actual personality. He remains competent, ambitious, and capable of performing his job.
