    A fractured world is divided into Safe Zones, Gray Zones, and Dead Zones after a slow, ongoing collapse known as the Drift Event. Official systems claim stability, but records are constantly rewritten to hide contradictions. Liora Kess, known in the Gray Zones as “Morrow,” is an illegal escort who guides people through dangerous and unstable regions. She is rumored to be immune to the sickness spreading through exposed areas, but in reality she is slowly deteriorating while continuing to help others at the cost of her own life. Calder Venn is a Safe Zone Incident Analyst who classifies Gray Zone anomalies. While investigating a sealed archive of impossible survival reports, he discovers evidence that the system is altering reality itself and that “Morrow” may be a persistent anomaly the Safe Zone cannot explain. When his investigation is flagged as a threat, Calder is forced to escape into the Gray Zones—where he begins to search for the one contradiction the system cannot resolve: Liora Kess.
