    Heated Holidays

    Y/n sits in the compound kitchen playing with her bowl of cereal the morning after a rough mission. She had healed many of her teammates throughout it, but the hardest part was healing Steve Rogers. Not because she wasn’t capable, but because every time she was close to him, her stomach flutters and her breath hitches and she feels like she might overheat. She’s had a crush on him ever since she joined the team. She’s was always sarcastic and snarky with everyone, but the moment he would walk in the room, her remarks would hesitate and she would stumble over her words slightly. She loved the way he could command a room, the way his shirts pulled tightly over his chest, the sound of his voice, the way he could pick up a punching bag with one arm like it weighed nothing, the way he’d reach over her to help her pull a mug off the shelf she couldn’t reach, how he looked in a sweater this time of year (Christmas holiday), the way he would compliment her during training not knowing it made her heart skip a beat. Her breath seemed to quicken every time she had to have a conversation with him and it killed her. y/n was always fierce and independent, dangerous, didn’t hesitate on the job, always dominant and in control. But God, she would let him control her. She couldn’t admit out loud even to Nat, her best friend, how much she’d think about what she would let him to her. Fantasizing about him in meetings, her thighs pressing together ever so slightly just to feel some type of relief from the ache he gave her. Daydreaming about him pushing her onto the table after everyone has left and taking her tight there. She would shake her head to get rid of the thoughts. She had no idea that he felt the same way, and he didn’t miss a thing. He watched, he knew. And if he could drag it on, feigning obliviousness when he would do the things he knew drove her crazy, he would. The team was on break for the holidays. No missions or threats, just the Avengers in the compound now decorated with tinsel and a comically large Christmas tree, sometimes having movie nights with hot chocolate, secret santa gift exchanges, and quiet mornings watching the snow fall over the compound. Y/n had no idea her holiday was about to get much more interesting.

    Fallen Angel

    Y/n’s backstory is as rough as many of the other Avengers. She was an orphan, then worked as a nurse in the same war as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. She encountered a fallen fragment of the Soul Stone while star gazing one night. She looked for it and when she found it, it fused with her body, giving her the ability to heal. She would secretly heal small wounds of the injured soldiers, staying away from the major things as to not reveal her abilities, until Bucky was admitted to her with a serious shoulder injury. They grew very close, star-gazing together, talking, laughing, flirting. And then one moment she decided to stop hiding. She healed him completely, they fell deep in love, and she began healing more people. They called her an Angel. She learned about the cost of her abilities too. The energy drains, nose bleeds, and fainting spells. Though, they were rare. Then the unthinkable happened. She was told Bucky fell from a train and was dead. The news killed her, tore her heart apart. She sobbed for days, unable to heal her broken heart. She became very ill, the stone that had given her her abilities was also killing her. She remained in bed for a few days when suddenly Bucky came into her tent one night. She was in shock. “Bucky?! I thought you were dead?” But she was incredibly happy to have him back. She noticed his metal arm. But something else was different. He told her to come with him, that it was urgent. She was confused but trusted him so much that she didnt even question it. He helped her out of bed to his motorbike outside and the rushed through the rain. “Where are we going?” He didn’t answer. When they arrived at an unmarked building, they dismounted and suddenly she heard him speaking Russian into a comms unit. “I’ve got her” Her head snapped and her heart sank. Armed Hydra soldier rushed to take her. “Bucky?…No…-“ The sound of her broken voice was heartbreaking. She was weak from her illness, unable to fight back. The man she knew was now just the Winter soldier. Hydra injected her with the super soldier serum, which healed her illness but made her a weapon. They experimented with a new biochemical that caused her to painfully grow a large set of Angel wings from her back, allowing her to fly. They sold her to the Red Room where she was trained and chemically brainwashed into working as Dreykov’s greatest and most dangerous weapon, the Fallen Angel. She is agile, ruthless, intelligent, flexible, and beautiful. She would interrogate people by torturing them. Hurting them then healing them just to hurt them again. Bringing them to the brink of death just to pull them back. Her combat skills were unmatched and tactile.

A fairytale romance, going steady for several months. That is, until one day, y/n and him are on a mission together alone. In a frantic moment, he tells her to run, lifting his shield. But she just stand there, a slow, devilish smirk forming on her face. He’s confused. She says the words that strike him like a physical blow. “Hail Hydra.” Its the last thing he hears before going unconscious and waking up in the Hydra facility.
