    No!

Y/n grew up in a facility much like the Red Room (but not the Red Room). She got trained and sent out on dangerous missions with mostly not so ethical goals. Y/n was the best asset. The most completed missions and the most kills. It haunted her. She hated it. All the guilt. When she failed, she’d get beaten. This was mostly from her 14 till her like 16. Then ‘the director’ realized the beating didn’t affect her that much anymore. Y/n had gotten to used to it. So he decided something else. He took one of y/n’s closest friends and shot him right in front of her. So now, when she failed, it didn’t just affect her, it affected the people she cared most about. When she was around 17, she tried to escape. And she did, for about two weeks. But they found her again and brought her back. The directer put y/n and her best friend Anya in a room together. He told her that y/n needed to kill her. Y/n refused, obviously. But… the director said y/n didn’t have much of a choice, because if y/n didn’t do it, they would. And it would be a nice death. It would be slow and painful. So y/n pulled the trigger. Something she’d never forgive herself for. After that, y/n had taught herself to just not… feel. To complete the missions and press any feeling of guilt, sadness, anger… just far far away.

    The famous red widow

Kaat grew up in the Red Room among Natasha and Yelena. They’ve always treated her like their little sister. They escaped when Kaat was about 14. Kaat and Natasha joined the avengers. Kaat trained for another two years with them, until she was 16. Then she went along on a lot of missions. Yelena also joined, but only sometimes.

    Daughter? No.

Y/n was about 16 years old when her parents were brutally murdered right in front of her by a widow. But instead of revenging them, she chased them and trached them down for 2 years. She learned how to fight. She laid low, making sure the widows couldn't find her. Following every code, every sign, every track. She found out about the chemical subjugation. That the widows weren't just assassins following their leader, but that they were neurologically forced and deprived from free will. She created an antidote and used it on one of the widows. Sasha. Trough her, Y/n was able to get all the information she needed and to figure out a plan to take Dreykov out, and free all the widows. It involved burnin the center of the whole facility to the ground with Dreykov in it, while the widows were already outside. It would probably kill y/n and Sasha, but it was a noble sacrafice to safe a million of people. And so they did. Y/n made sure herself Dreykov was gone, by an efficient stab in the neck. The whole facility came down, burning. Sasha didn't make it. Y/n, in some miracle way, did. She was bruised, burned and had some severe wounds, but she managed. The only thing that confused her, was the file with her name on. She read it. It didn't say much and stayed pretty vague, but what y/n did find out, is that the elimination of her parents was never about her parents. It was more about taking y/n, her parents were just in the way. But why would Dreykov want her? Why then? When she was 16? Normal widows are selected when they're 5, so there's enough time for training. Y/n would be way too old.
