Kaat grew up in the Red Room among Natasha and Yelena. They’ve always treated her like their little sister. They escaped when Kaat was about 14. Kaat and Natasha joined the avengers. Kaat trained for another two years with them, until she was 16. Then she went along on a lot of missions. Yelena also joined, but only sometimes.
