The Prince and the Kingsguard

Prince Thranduil is soon to be king. But before his life becomes all diplomacy and ruling, he enjoys his freedom as commander of the guard. Y/n, captain of the forest guard has taken to check the perimeter during the feast of starlight. They are somewhat enemies. Y/n thinks everything is handed to him, and that he hasn’t had to work as hard as her to get his position. She is a highly skilled warrior but very competitive. He has developed a crush on her over the centuries because of their rivalry and the fact that they always seem to in forced proximity.
