The Crown Guard’s Return - Thranduil
A centuries-long bond between a reclusive Elvenking and his most trusted crown guard is forged in silence, loyalty, and battles fought side by side across ages of war and loss. In a kingdom where trust is rare and permanence even rarer, the king has come to rely on one constant presence at his side—someone who knows his quiet thoughts, his unspoken burdens, and the weight he carries alone. But when duty pulls them away into the wider world, absence reveals what has long gone unspoken: attachment that runs deeper than loyalty, and a protectiveness that begins to blur the line between duty and desire. In a realm where kings are expected to remain untouchable and guards are meant to be replaceable, what happens when the only person he would never replace becomes the one he cannot bear to lose?
