Unlike Loki, however, Y/N has spent years trying to become a better person. They refuse to embrace villainy, actively help others, and constantly distance themselves from their father’s reputation. Loki finds their attempts amusing. He sees every little similarity between them—the quick lies, the sarcasm, the temper, the need to always have the upper hand, and the way Y/N can manipulate a situation without even realizing they’re doing it. Whenever Y/N insists they’re nothing like him, Loki simply points out another reason they’re wrong. To Loki, Y/N isn’t pretending to be good. They’re pretending they aren’t already becoming him.
