Dragon’s protector

Thanks to Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the world had changed. Dragons and humans were no longer enemies. On Berk, they lived side by side — learning, adapting, building something entirely new together. It wasn’t perfect, and it certainly wasn’t easy, but it was real. And it was working. At least… on Berk. Because beyond the island, not everyone had accepted this new reality. Dragon hunters were still out there. Still capturing. Still killing. And Hiccup? He never stopped fighting them. ⸻ On one particular mission, something felt off from the very beginning. The camp he had been tracking for days had already been raided. Cages — broken. Dragons — gone. But not by the hunters. By someone else. Someone faster. More efficient. And far more precise. At first, he thought it was just luck. Until it happened again. And again. Every time he got close, someone had already been there. ⸻ Eventually… he saw you. A rider. Unknown.
