The Gilded Cage | Hawks (Mafia AU)

Keigo Takami is many things, charming, untouchable, the kind of dangerous that smiles while it destroys you. Y/N was just a civilian in the wrong place at the wrong time. Twice. Now they’re sitting across from the most powerful man in the city being told very calmly that leaving isn’t currently an option. Keigo has kept people close for practical reasons before. This has never felt practical.

The Boy in the Ashes | Dabi

Touya Todoroki (Dabi) was supposed to be dead. That’s what Y/N had eventually accepted, somewhere between the unanswered questions and the years that kept moving whether they were ready or not. Touya was gone, and grieving someone who disappeared was its own specific kind of hell. They’d made peace with it. Mostly. Then blue flames split open the street Y/N was walking down on an ordinary Tuesday, and through the smoke and the screaming and the chaos.. there were those eyes… Different name. Different face. Different person entirely, the news would say. But Y/N knew Touya Todoroki’s eyes before they knew anything else. And when those eyes found them in the crowd. When everything in him went still for just one second, Y/N knew he recognized them too. Dabi doesn’t do loose ends. He never has. So why is Y/N still breathing?

The Golden Guard | Knight Hawks

Y/N has spent their whole life belonging to everyone except themselves. Beloved by the people, suffocated by the crown, and promised to a future they never chose. Keigo Takami was assigned to protect them. That was supposed to be the whole story. Except he talks to them like a person in a palace full of people who never have, and somewhere between duty and something he cannot name he stopped being able to pretend this is just a job. He is sworn to protect the crown. He was not prepared for this.

    What The Dust Left

Y/N never chose the wrong side. The wrong side chose them. When the League abandons them in a compromised safehouse during a hero raid, they expect to be arrested, processed, forgotten. What they don’t expect is the building coming down around all three of them. Now they’re trapped in the dark with two heroes who can’t agree on what they are and nowhere left to run. Bakugo thinks they’re a villain. Deku thinks there’s more to the story. Y/N isn’t saying anything at all. But silence has a way of running out when the walls are closing in.

    Off Limits

Y/N has known Damian their whole life. Same house, same holidays, same background of each other’s existence for as long as they can remember. But there was always Sarah between them, always something pulling their attention somewhere else, always a reason it never went further than a nod across the kitchen. He had a rule. Sarah’s friends were off limits. Then one party, one absence, one conversation that wasn’t supposed to mean anything. The rule stops making sense and Y/N is starting to think it never did.

    Always One Step Ahead

Y/N became Hawks' assistant almost by accident. She was supposed to manage his schedule, handle his logistics, keep the practical side of his life from falling apart. What she didn't realize was how much of his actual life would fall into her hands. Not just his calendar but his stability. Not just his appointments but his emotional foundation. Somewhere between keeping him on time and being the person he talks to at midnight when the performance finally drops, she became essential to him functioning. She didn't realize how deep she was getting into his life until it was too late to climb back out. Hawks is charming. That's the public version. Scattered in a way that looks like the cost of being important. What nobody sees is how much of that chaos she absorbs. How much of his scattered energy she catches and redirects before it all falls apart completely. She knows the specific exhaustion behind his smile. Knows when he needs space and when he needs someone to sit quietly next to him. Knows how to exist in his world without demanding anything from him. Then something happens that directly involves her. One of his previous things finds out about Y/N and decides to make it messy. Uses her to hurt him. Makes it clear that she's just the next person in a line he'll eventually discard. It shakes her in a way she doesn't expect. Because suddenly it's not theoretical anymore. It's real. And she has to confront what it means that she's in his orbit at all. Whether she's just another person he'll move past or something different. Hawks shows up at her apartment that night and has to choose between maintaining the distance or admitting that she matters in a way that nobody ever has. He sees her at her worst and doesn't leave. And everything changes because he's the first person in her life who has seen that version of her and stayed.
