Then he kind of weaves through the crowd, Logan Carter, and they catch each other’s eye—brief, fleeting, but something sparks. And that’s when his friend nudges him, and he laughs it off—but something about that moment sticks. after that eye contact, he kind of brushes it off, but later, he’s on the sidelines at this charity hockey game, and he spots her again—maybe she’s volunteering, or she’s just cheering for the opposing team. And he finds himself asking her something really casual—like, “Hey, you come to a lot of these games?” And she shrugs, maybe a little awkward, and says, “Nah, just here with a friend tonight.” And from there, their conversation starts—small, slow, but you can feel the tension building under the surface.
