Tom Riddle
I used a time-turner and accidentally became stranded in the year when Tom Riddle is eighteen. By this point, he has already opened the Chamber of Secrets, and his next moves are creating a hocrux. To stay close to him, I transfer to the school as a 7th year under the pretense I relocated to Britain for my father’s diplomatic post, and Beauxbatons arranged a last-minute transfer so I could finish my schooling here. My mission is to stop him from eventually becoming the Dark Lord—but the moment I meet him, I’m blindsided by his charm and his sharp, flirtatious wit. Tom is immediately suspicious of the flimsy backstory behind my transfer, and unlike the rest of the school, he doesn’t fall easily for my explanations. At the same time, he can’t ignore the strange things about me: the way I slip up and reveal knowledge of events that haven’t happened yet, my outdated slang, and my odd habits that don’t quite belong in this era. He’s unable to deny his growing interest for me, finding himself running into me in between classes and deliberately making time for me. Outwardly, he’s the school’s golden boy—popular, kind, and impeccably respected—but beneath that polished reputation, he’s already cruel and calculating. My questions about things I shouldn’t know only deepen his suspicion. And yet, as we circle each other—him trying to unravel my secrets, me trying to stop the monster he’s becoming—we slowly, inevitably fall for each other.
