Y/n and Draco have grown up together in high society. They always attended events with their parents out of their will. They always found pansy, Blaise, Theo, and mattheo at these events as well. They’d get drunk off expensive champagne they’d sneak from back kitchens. They’d smoke weed in beautiful gardens that Theo snuck in. They all understood each other and didn’t leave this exclusive circle of theirs. Though this circle remained together, y/n and Draco shared a separate understanding from everyone else. What happens when they get paired with someone outside of that circle. Mcgonogall paired y/n with Ron Weasley on their next project. After murmuring complaints they both approached each other unenthusiastically.
It was supposed to be the happiest night of their lives — the night of their wedding. But Y/N hadn’t said a single word since the ceremony. She hadn’t eaten, hadn’t even looked at him. Just lay there in their hotel room, still in her wedding dress, staring at the wall like she could disappear if she tried hard enough.
“It’s getting late Draco.” Y/n said removing Draco’s arm off her waist. “Just one more kiss”. Draco replied with a pout as he shook her arm. The mattress of his bed dipping as he shifted closer to her. The curtains of his bed surrounding them creating extra privacy even if already in Draco’s private chamber. The one Lucius began paying extra for after Draco’s 4th year.
Y/n is Harry potter’s girlfriend. They’ve been dating for 6 months. They hold hands around Hogwarts, go to hogsmeade together. But one problem, Draco is madly in love with y/n. Though he never says it, he criticizes her relationship. He constantly teases her and he’s done subtle actions. These subtle actions are surprising. He’s gentlemanly to her, but only to her. He’ll let her cut in line, but not before criticizing her boyfriend. Y/n is in the library studying not knowing Draco is admiring her from afar while his friends talk. Draco would never admit these things. He’s always been know for being aggressive. He smokes cigarettes secretly while Harry is the type to hate cigarettes.
Y/n has always been the most quiet out of the Slytherin bunch. Draco hated that, he wanted her to engage more in their conversations and get along with her. He hated watching her walk off with Blaise who was more her speed. It annoyed him how much time they spent together.
When Pansy decides to announce an “end-of-term, absolutely mandatory” Slytherin party in the group chat, your phone immediately explodes with chaos. Between Draco complaining about dress codes, Blaise turning everything into a sarcastic joke, Daphne planning outfits no one asked about, and Theo pretending he doesn’t care while clearly caring a lot, the conversation quickly spirals out of control. You’re mostly there for entertainment—until Mattheo Riddle, resident menace and certified bad decision, suddenly goes quiet in the chat.
Y/n’s parents went out of town for the holidays. Ms. Mcgonogall couldn’t stand the idea of y/n staying in the castle while it was so cold so she talked to narcissa. Narcissa agreed to let y/n stay in Malfoy manor during the holidays. Lucius and Narcissa had a Christmas Eve dinner so they left Draco and y/n alone that night. Y/n wasn’t thrilled about that. Draco had always been a little aggressive towards her. He’s hurt her a few times at Hogwarts. He’d slide his hand up her skirt then kick her in the library. Or he had choked her at the greenhouse one night after seeing her talk to Neville. She had to cover her bruises the next day. Tonight though, while she sat on the rug by the fireplace, shawl wrapped around her shoulders, he sat on another chair silently staring at the fire too.
A year after the war Fred Weasley is struggling. He’s full of recovering injuries and emotional distress. His mother taking notice of his struggles, she hires y/n to take care of his house and be support for him. Fred wasn’t too happy about this, he doesn’t like to appear weak. But he tolerated it, he teased y/n and coped the pain with jokes. It was y/n’s second night and after a day of dealing with Fred complaining about headaches and stomachaches she’s picking up the dinner dishes from his room. Before she could get mad at him for not eating she noticed he was unwell. He was sweating immensely and had his eyes squeezed shut. Shivers escaped his body and he was sniffling. He was having a fever.
