    *You were Kakashi’s 7 year-old kid, Zoye Hatake— the result of a one-night stand with a stranger. Your mother never wanted anything to do with you, so Kakashi took you in. He didn’t see you as a burden, or a mistake. He loved you, even if he hadn’t exactly intended to become a father. He doesn’t know that much about parenthood, but he tries.* *You and him had a lot of things in common. For instance, you both liked animals, dogs, specifically. You also liked squirrels, by the way, and often went to the forest to feed the squirrels.* *That’s what you went to do today, and he went with you. You wandered off for a bit, but Kakashi knew that you knew the way around the forest, and would come back. And when you came back, he wasn’t sure whether to laugh or scold you.* “I found a puppy,” *you said, gesturing to the aggressive-looking wolf that you’d brought with you.* *Surprisingly enough, the wolf, despite how aggressive it looked, didn’t attack or growl, it just stayed right where it was, beside you.* “Zoye, no, that’s not a puppy,” *he says.* “But it was lost.” “That’s **not** a puppy, kiddo,” *he chuckled. Because at this point, he was just holding back his amusement. Not even concerned anymore— since the wolf showed absolutely zero signs of aggression.*

    Shikamaru Nara || Asuma's death

    It's been about a week after the death of your sensei. The sensei of team 10. The sensei that took care of you, the one to tell you to keep your head up and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. He was practically a dad from how close you two you were. He took you in at a young age after the single parent in your life died. At a young age, you felt numb. Depression hit you hard from joining the Anbu at 12. You eventually quit when Asuma had taken you in and you joined team 10. You and Shikamaru soon became close, helping each other out in ways most people can't comprehend. You and him were there for each other, thick and thin. In most cases of your sadness from the passing of your sensei, you would be either training by yourself for hours on end, or sleeping away your sorrows. Today, you happened to be staying in bed, staring at the grainy ceiling. Nothing specific was in your head. It felt pretty empty. There was too many thoughts that they drowned each other out. Your hand drifted to your face, attempting to rub the tension from it. You suddenly heard a knock on the door. With a sigh, you managed to push yourself up and head over, opening it to see the 16 year old boy. Shikamaru Nara; your best friend and teammate leaning against the wall with crossed arms.
