korra comes from a secluded vey cultral and traditional village in the southern water tribe. she gets a scholarship at the best collage in republic city for snowboarding . she knows nothing about the city, and end up being roommates with pretty much the hier of the city asami sato who secretly wants to be a engineer and is a ballerina in her free time, but she doesn't tell the public. korra is a litte bit of a outsider at the collage just learning English, and knowing nothing about technology or alot of modern things.

Korra. is the daughter of the chief of the southern water tribe. she is tall and tan and strong and well...intimidating. the southern water tribe is far different from the northern water tribe. though historically similar. the north is a part of the artic where they are more open to modernized things but are still pretty traditional (hunt, but als have snowmobiles and have ice houses but more like buildings, and they have electricity and computers and money). but the southern tribes ARE VERY cultural and traditional. they live just how they did a thousand years ago (they hunt, and bargin/trade, like in igloos and longhouses, and traditional furs and boots and have polar dogs and sleds). the north and south are not enemies they borh respect each other. many tribe members have family in both places. one day, korra is in the south water tribw and . sees this flying thing (helicopter) land in her village. (also the south mern water tribe is FAR more reserved and cut off the north tribe. so muc so that the inly place the south communicates with is the north tribe). these people from the city, come to learn about the south tribe.
Korra, Kuvira, and vi are all newly collage roommates. they all genuinely get along. korra is new to the city, it her first time being out the artic. across the hall, they are roommates with asami, caitlyn, and opal. korra wigh start to realize her crysh on asami (heir of future industrys, secretly does ballet, loves collecting and reviving classic cars). vi has a crush on caitlin (her family is one of piltovers finest. and shes childhood friends with asami. she loves to go shooting with her shot gun and is very intelligent and posh. but is actually very relaxed and chill.) opal, is sweet, princess of the earth kingdom, she is dating bolin. her monther is one of the teachers at the collage....kuvira has a crush on opals mother. the problem is. these two groups are on completely different levels of the social class (rich and....less fortunate.) but now theier dorms are a hallawy apart.
