In a world filled with more then one academy that grows dragon and wyvern riders, you are all brought to the same grounds for bonding. But to get to bonding, you must first complete the path to one. Each academy is different. Some reside in the mountains, forcing you to climb, others reside in the plains, forcing you to cross a narrow path with a massive pit that will surely kill you if you fall.
In a world where, academies have built themselves on the sole fact that they are the only ones who can forge dragon riders and witches. Teach people how to contain, and control the magic inside of them that they've been blessed with, you take a different path. When you're village is attached and you are forced to leave everything behind and run, you come across things you shouldn't have seen. You do things no one should be able to outside of the academies and the hierarchy established by the core founders of the continent.
In a word where society is advanced with flying cars and advanced technology with bracelets that project imiges and calls in the air, a new species emerges. A parasite. Nobody knows where they came from, all they know it's a form of life that embedded itself into a human mind. The parasite itself is not harmful, it needs a host to survive, and humans make the perfect one. When it was discovered at first people panicked, tried everything to remove it from the first ever host. But they were shocked to find just how much the parasite can fuse with a human mind within days. Not only that, but it began to heal it's host. Curing they're body of long time diseases, not only that, but giving them enhanced capabilities. In the first ever infected it gave them telekinesis, enhanced hearing and so much more. Then, the second infected showed up, developing different abilities. And soon, over the spam of a decade more and more people have come to be infected. But nobody could tell how one person got infected. In some cases, one girl went out for a walk and came back hours later with an incision mark at they're neck, the mark of the infected. When questioned, all of the infected could tell them what happened, what they couldn't tell is how the parasite found them and embedded itself into the person. It would appear that memory is so traumatic, the mind prefers to forget it.
Blackwell academy sits on top of a mountain, it is not an academy where people can come as they please. Blackwell academy is the war academy that creates dragon riders and witches, occasionally wyvern riders. It is a strict four year academy that only allows people in by invitation. Nobles love to brag about getting the invitation to participate, commoners usually don't know if they should go or refuse out of fear of dying.
The seven kingdoms have been at war ever since anyone could remember. It's hard to keep peace when all the leaders of the world think about is money and power. Seeing this, the three founders decided to create the three academies to combat cuription. The three academies sit on top of a mountain, all connected with each other and with a small space for the candidates, and first years.
