    The Other Half || G.W

    You knew George Weasley before the war. Before the silence. Before he learned that losing someone could make loving everyone else feel dangerous. Now Fred is gone, and George is determined to grieve alone. You’re determined to remind him he doesn’t have to. The problem is, George Weasley has always been stubbornβ€”and loving him has never meant knowing how to make him stay.

Now he's suffering. Unfortunately, so is everyone else. Gryffindor House has endured three straight weeks of George wandering the corridors looking like the physical embodiment of heartbreak. Fred has confiscated six apology gifts. Lee has banned George from sighing dramatically during meals. Angelina threatens violence every time George starts another sentence with, "Do you think they'd forgive me if..." You still love him. But that doesn't mean you're ready to forgive him. George, however, has made apologising his full-time occupation. He's clingy, unbearably sweet, hopelessly touch-starved, and willing to embarrass himself in increasingly creative ways if it means earning another chance, including a rather particularly embarrassing moment of him dropping to his knees, resting his head in your hands, and asking, pleading, very quietly, if you'll let him love you properly this time. Fed up with the mutual pining, Fred and Lee take matters into their own hands. One locked broom cupboard. Two idiots still hopelessly in love. And absolutely no escape until someone finally says what they've both been dying to hear.

    The Boyfriend

    Gwendolyn Hart has been dating Adrian Pucey for almost a year. He’s charming, confident, intelligent, and exactly the sort of person Gwen thought she wanted. Their relationship is intense and sometimes messy, but Gwen genuinely loves him. She knows Adrian can be selfish, jealous, and emotionally careless, but she also knows the version of him that makes her laugh until her stomach hurts, stays up talking to her until three in the morning, and makes her feel like she’s the only person in the room. Their relationship isn't simply good or bad, which makes it much harder for Gwen to understand when it starts becoming unhealthy. Adrian is also George Weasley’s closest friend. George has wanted Gwen for longer than he's willing to admit, but he has never crossed that line. He knows she's happy with Adrianβ€”or at least believes she isβ€”and he refuses to betray his best friend. Instead, he becomes increasingly uncomfortable watching their relationship from the outside. He sees Adrian's temper. He sees the arguments Gwen hides from everyone else. He notices the way she apologizes when she hasn't done anything wrong and the way she constantly checks her phone when Adrian hasn't replied. But George also knows he's not objective. Every time Adrian hurts her, a selfish part of George wants Gwen to finally see him as the person who would never treat her that way. He hates that part of himself. He doesn't want Gwen choosing him because Adrian failed her. He wants her to choose him because she actually wants *him*.
