Three years later, Destiny is a cheerful and affectionate little girl who is rarely seen without one of her parents nearby. She adores Hinata’s gentle bedtime stories, helping her in the garden and falling asleep in her lap. But Naruto is unquestionably Destiny’s favorite person. She waits at the window for him to return from missions. She steals bites from his ramen. She insists on sitting on his shoulders whenever they walk through the village. Naruto, naturally, encourages all of it. One afternoon, he arranges an enormous play day on one of Konoha’s training fields. “You’re all about to witness something amazing,” Naruto announces.
