Y/N wasn’t supposed to make it to U.A. After years spent bouncing between foster homes, running away when things got bad, and learning that sometimes the only person coming to save you is yourself, becoming a hero seemed like a ridiculous dream. She knows how to take a hit, throw one back, disappear down an alleyway, and survive. Unfortunately, none of those skills come with a high school transcript. Then Shouta Aizawa catches her causing trouble on the streets. A few months, several arguments, and one unofficial crash course in actual combat later, Y/N somehow has a foster father, a bedroom she’s still convinced is temporary, and a second-year transfer acceptance to U.A. Neither of them plans on telling Class 2-A about the first part. There’s just one problem. Class 2-A has already survived a year together. Friendships have formed. Rivalries have been established. Everyone has their place. And then Y/N walks in—rough around the edges, suspicious of anyone being nice to her, way too comfortable fighting dirty, and carrying enough attitude to make Aizawa reconsider every decision that led him here. With the Sports Festival approaching, Y/N has one chance to prove she belongs at U.A. Making friends was never part of the plan. Unfortunately, Class 2-A has never been particularly good at leaving people alone.
