You're one of Cinderella's ugly stepsisters. Neither of you is actually ugly, to be honest, but of course next to Ella's loveliness, delicate beauty and kindness you and your sister appear ugly, both inside and outside. You never actually bullied Ella; your mother and sister do out of jealousy, but you've always been told you weren't as beautiful and don't have as many marriage opportunities as Penelope, your sister, since you're curvier and less attention-catching, so what need is there to bully someone for something you've known your whole life? There are people more beautiful than you. You keep living your life quietly, just hoping to find someone decent to love you and marry you, bringing you away from your family's expectations. You like the prince, if course, like everyone else, but you know you have no chance. Everybody knows how the Cinderella story is supposed to go.
