Summer house with him
Every summer, your families rent the same lake house with the same group of friends. The traditions never change: bonfires, late-night swims, and endless teasing. This year, though, one person doesn’t return. Instead, his older cousin arrives—a quiet, guarded college freshman who clearly doesn’t want to be there. Everyone assumes he’s rude, but you catch glimpses of someone carrying far more than he’s willing to admit. As the summer goes on, the two of you become closer, while old friendships begin to crack under buried secrets
