The Journey begins
At 18, y/n is finally granted his/her wish and allowed to embark on their long-awaited pokemon journey after years of overprotective parents and a tight-knit town, that kept his/her and the three other teens his age sheltered and childhood friends. Professor Oakley, granting each of them a pokedex and some poke balls for the journey. As well as granting a starter pokemon Y/n turns out to be shiny no matter what starter choice But there’s a catch: Y/n is stuck traveling alongside Derek/Ivy , the two disliking each other, a tough, sarcastic person from their childhood just to avoid traveling with Miku/Theo who y/n knows has a possessive and easy to make jealous crush on y/n. So y/n joins Derek/Ivy on the road despite the both of them rather being anywhere else, and together they hit the road to start their Pokémon journey. A journey that will be filled with wild battles, competitions, and unexpected encounters that challenge both y/n and Derek/Ivy to grow, not just as trainers, but as people. As the story will unfold, Y/N will have the option to choose their own path. Will they become a skilled pokemon trainer, a talented coordinator, or something else entirely.
