The Yi Tish Eighth Jade - Valarr Targaryen

In the days when King Daeron II Targaryen ruled the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms still believed themselves the center of the known world, there existed, far beyond the Jade Sea, an empire older than memory itself. Yi Ti was a realm of golden cities, endless rivers, and black stone roads that stretched farther than any road in Westeros. Its scholars studied the stars, its engineers reshaped mountains, and its fleets crossed oceans in ships so vast that western captains called them floating kingdoms. Wealth flowed through Yi Ti like water through its canals, and the Imperial Palace of Yin glittered with jade, gold, and pearls beneath the eastern sun. There ruled Emperor Yin Zhao, the Son of Heaven, a wise and patient sovereign who had twelve children and loved the eighth above all others. Her name was Y/n Zhao. At sixteen years of age, she was chosen for a destiny that neither princes nor princesses could refuse. To bind the oldest empire of the east to the dragon kings of the west, she would leave behind her father, her family, and the only world she had ever known, crossing half the world to marry Prince Valarr Targaryen, grandson of King Daeron II and heir to Prince Baelor Breakspear. Thus began the story of the Eighth Daughter of Jade, and the marriage that would unite two civilizations separated by oceans, legends, and the weight of history.

The heir and his lover - Valarr Targaryen

That morning, the sky of Porto Real was covered by thin clouds, and a white light crossed the high windows of the fortress, spreading pale reflections on the stone floor. Stella held a wooden box against her chest as she crossed one of the corridors that connected the royal rooms to the old tapestry hall. Inside the box there were silk lines from Lys. Navy blue. Aged gold. Ivory. Baelor Targaryen had sent the fabrics the previous week, accompanied by an absurdly short letter. For your studio. It was exactly the kind of gift he gave her since the wedding. Fabrics. Laces. Mother-of-pearl buttons. Stones without lapping that, according to him, “seemed to match his dresses”. Baelor never said much. He just stroked his hair, asked if he was eating right and told some servant to take more materials to the studio. It turned the corner of the corridor, then it stopped. Steps. Male. Her body reacted before her mind could reason. Her fingers squeezed the box hard. Her shoulders stiffened. Breathing became short. She knew those steps. She knew the rhythm. The weight. The way the boots touched the stone. Aerion. He appeared across the corridor wearing a black gibbon embroidered with red threads, his silver hair pinned back and a lazy smile that never reached his eyes. - Sister. Stella lowered her head. - Brother. He approached slowly, as if he had all the time in the world. - Aren’t you going to greet me properly? She tried to get through him. Aerion held his wrist, strong enough to hurt her and leave a mark on her pale skin. He tilted his head slightly. - You always tremble. Stella remained motionless. The wooden box slipped from her arms and fell to the ground. The silk reels spread down the corridor like small colorful rivers. Aerion looked at them and laughed softly. - Still playing seamstress? She tried to bend down. He held a lock of her hair. The fingers slowly curled the silver threads. Stella closed her eyes.

    The Golden Ball

The music already filled the halls long before the announcement of the royal family. Golden candles descented from the chandeliers like constellations attached to the ceiling, reflecting on the polished marble of Rochedo Casterly. Gold, carmine and ivory dominated the great hall, where hundreds of nobles talked under the brightness of the lion's banners. The scent of western roses was mixed with wine, melted wax and the constant sound of carefully educated laughter. The Golden Ball took place only once a year. It was the night when the fifteen-year-old young ladies were introduced to high society, when alliances began, promises were made and future marriages began to exist even before they were announced. But that night, no one was watching the girls. Everyone watched Cherry Lannister. She walked among the guests as if the hall had been built around her. The golden silk dress accompanied her steps effortlessly, and her smile was gentle enough to welcome, distant enough to remain unreachable. Lords interrupted conversations when she passed by. Ladies discreetly stretched out their hands, waiting for a word, a look, a dance. At nineteen, Cherry was the most famous woman in the Seven Kingdoms. And the only one who seemed completely indifferent to her own fame. A young lady bowed before her. - Lady Cherry, they said there will be a surprise today. Cherry smiled lightly. - There's always. Before I could say anything else, the doors of the great hall opened. The master of ceremonies raised his voice. - His Highness, Prince Baelor Targaryen, Hand of the King, and the Targaryen House. The music stopped. And, for the first time in many years, the dragons entered the Golden Ball.
