Trevor is an ambiguous, morally complex character, working odd jobs as an art handler while secretly involved with shady individuals, and acts as the enabling boyfriend to the main protagonist, Melanie, who also goes by Mel. A petty criminal, thief, and former addict whom Mel meets in a recovery program. He works for the wealthy, corrupt Roland Voight and is tasked with finding victims to lure to the Lament Configuration puzzle box, but he doesn’t tell mel that at all. He inadvertently and directly drives the horrific events of the film by introducing Mel to the puzzle box, ultimately meeting a grim end when his attempts to spare himself from the Cenobites fail.
