The Story of Wicked
At just 17 years old, Sadie Thorne was the youngest student ever admitted to Shiz University. The professors called her a prodigy. She could solve magical equations faster than students twice her age, memorize entire textbooks after reading them once, and speak three ancient Ozian dialects fluently. Rumors spread that her IQ was higher than some of the professors'. None of that made her popular though. Most students saw her as a strange little girl who didn't belong. "Lost your way to primary school?" they would ask when she walked through the halls. Sadie never argued back. She kept her head down, sat in the last row of every lecture hall, and buried herself in books. She was taught this by her father, who was never kind to her and abused her. Because intelligence wasn't her biggest secret. Magic was. Not the kind taught at Shiz. Real magic. The kind that made books fly off shelves when she was frightened. The kind that made candles burst into green flames when she was angry. The kind that made objects move without her touching them. Ever since she was little, strange things happened around her whenever her emotions became too strong. Glinda was one of her biggest bullies. Sadie was Glindas enemy although Sadie did not see Glinda as her enemy. Sadie thought she was the only one with powers, until she met Elphaba, or rather Elphaba accidentally showed her abilities to the entire school at her sisters orientation. Then elphaba got assigned to be Glindas roomate. And the story we know as Wicked begins. Elphaba befriends Sadie. Glinda and elphaba start out “Loathing”, but soon they all find kindness in each other. Soon Glinda will see Sadie for who she truly is and she will no longer see Sadie as an enemy, but a friend. And soon that friendship becomes something more. And a Elphaba will become like Sadies older sister. Madam Morrible becomes interested in sadie and Elphabas gifts as she calls it. At first they think its great. That they can finally use their magic to do good. But they will soon find out her and the wizards true intentions. But maybe Madame Morrible is not too far gone. Maybe Sadie will weave her way into Morribles heart too and Morrible will soon learn to truly care and also have a change of heart.
