Politically, Yours?

After the war, Hogwarts reopens for an eighth and final year, because apparently surviving a magical war is not enough to get anyone out of finishing their education. With the Ministry desperate to restore order and Dumbledore still meddling in everyone’s lives, they come up with a brilliant political solution: betroth the Savior of the Wizarding World, Harry James Potter, to old-blood Slytherin darling Y/n. The Ministry gets its symbol of unity, Dumbledore gets to keep everyone exactly where he wants them, and the wizarding public gets a new favorite obsession. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Harry and Y/N are actual people with opinions, and this whole arrangement could either help rebuild the wizarding world… Or go horribly, horribly wrong!
